Well, it only it took me 2 and a half years to listen to audio files and/or the actual exhaust tone in person; but I finally settled on the Mini-Madness cat-back exhaust. Excellent sound level and quality, no noticeable drone; and a fantastic burble when downshifting!

After much deliberation i finally decided to go with the Mini Madness exhaust. I wanted something that did not sound unbearably loud and obnoxious when i did not want it to be. This exhaust provided exactly that; a quiet rumble on normal commutes which actually makes the car seem more driveable, but when you stomp on it, the rumble turns into a gorgeous throaty roar. 
The power gains are fantastic, and the "fantastic burble" is a delight to any enthusiasts ears. The craftsmanship is so terrific i almost felt bad putting it at the bottom of my car...
But it was worth it. The Mini Madness cat-back exhaust is 100% recommendable
