Megan Racing Coil-Over Dampers are the ultimate upgrade to your track or street Mini Cooper or Mini Cooper S. Featuring 32 Levels of damper force adjustment, full-height adjustment, these damper kits are then perfectly matched with front Pillow Ball upper mounts for smooth quiet operation and durability.
The adjustment of the damper is as simple as can be with a built-in knob at the top of the damper mount for easy access. Simple adjustments can be made to tune to your style of driving and comfort level desired. Single-Adjustable dampers make suspension adjustments easy to tune whether you’re a professional mechanic or an automotive enthusiast with amateur mechanical skills.
The height adjustment is made easy with CNC-Machined locking perches for accuracy and smooth adjustment. You can raise your car up to factory height for OEM appearance with performance handling or you can drop your car all the way down for a formal racetrack and an aggressive stance lowering your center of gravity to gain full potential of your car’s handling capabilities.
Megan Racing Damper Kits come with fully adjustable Pillow-Ball upper mounts to easily tune and adjust your camber. Adjustable camber gives you an edge on most suspension setups, as you can easily tune your car for any ride height which improves handling, predictability and furthermore tire wear, which is a great benefit both on the racetrack and on the street.
The quality and durability of the Megan Racing Damper kits are unmatched. Made of extremely durable Steel and featuring springs that are constructed of SAE-9254 Cold-Wound Steel which are then tested over 500,000 times by compression inspection. With deformation less than 5% and high strength sophisticated surface coating, we stand by our product with our strong warranty.

Cons:

people never seem to get over the old reputation, they are missing out.

Smoothest and most easily adjustable system I have owned. On the MINI I have had KWV2's, Vogtlands, h-sport springs...and the Megans are by far my favorite ride quality....amazingly adjustable, height independent of pre-load, camber plates on the front, and adjustable dampening...perfect.
Other systems I have run are Cusco Zero 2, Koni, Eibach, and Bilstein...Megans are still my favorite, and when you add the price into it, you can't beat them. Sad for those that can't look past the early days when they had spring and bump stop issues...that is a very old issue and all has been fixed now, Megan stands behind their products, and they are also the cheapest set up to rebuild by far...you can do them yourself instead of sending them out!!!!!!!!!!

Very easy to install

Getting your ride hite is a lil of a pain
|
|
Going from a sport suspension to coilovers was a major improvement in the ride handling and overall ride comfort. The install went without a single stall or problem. I dont have the greatest knowledge of soing installs, espicially with suspension parts. But these were pretty much plug and play. The only downside is that when you go to change your ride hite, it is a little bit of a pain. But then looking at how much space you have to work with, it is half car, half coil over. I got mine from AutoXCooper.com and highly recommend the Megan Coilovers and AutoXcooper. Cant really beat the price or the quality, much less the added comfort of having a very tuneable suspension to play with.

This is my first non-stock suspension system ever and all I have to say is everything is so easy. A friend and I installed them in 2 hours. I am really enjoying the near zero body roll. The ride height adjustment is very nice especially when it snows I can raise it up for the winter and drop it for spring/summer.

Great price, great performance
|
|
Cons:

a little harsh ride
|

I bought these close to two years ago. I highly recommend them. They work amazingly well, and the drop is massive. I have close to an inch left to drop them, but my wheels are almost completely tucked inside the fenders.
On hard canyon driving, these perform amazingly well. On the autoX course or the track they work even better. The only place they have let me down slightly is on the drag strip where they seemed to give the wheels a tendency to hop till the 60' line... This might have been due to Milan raceway which is fairly rough, but its still notable...
Anyways, if you're looking for a cost effective performer, these are the coilovers for you!
