Spent almost $10K with this guy. After payment heard nothing from him for almost a month, no parts, no word. Had a three month hassel with him. E-Commerce demands mega service because of no face to face contact. This guys gives zero--a terrible business man. He desrves to flop. Never again.

Here at Madness we do our best to work with customers to meet all their needs and strive to offer 110% service. Unfortunately Mr. Drey feels like he was not treated fairly. Sometimes going the extra mile with certain customers just still isn't enough to satisfy them. Mr. Drey ordered many products from us many of which were special order and going to be drop shipped within California to him in California. Mr. Drey would have had to pay CA taxes on all these parts,we did the research and determined that shipping the products to us first and then shipping them back to him would have saved him hundreds of dollars. Mr. Drey was made aware that the shipping times would be longer than normal and he was excited that we could save him hundreds of dollars by doing things this way. After Mr. Drey received his products he seemed to think he received the wrong parts. After extensive phone conversations, part number checking etc. we determined that Mr. Drey had all the parts he specified with no errors but insisted on trying to return all the products, this was 3 months after he received the products! He was made aware that many of the parts he ordered were special order and not returnable. After many more conversations we genuinely tried to make Mr. Drey happy even giving him 5% off of his initial order, about a $300 credit. Mr. Drey seemed to be happy with this arrangement and proceeded to install the parts and participate in some local driving events which "went really well" in his words. After this we made a decision not to have any future dealings with Mr. Drey based on the events above. Mr. Drey sent us more email questions which we politely declined and forward him on to the specific manufactures for Q&A. We believe this is what prompted this posting. In the end there are just some people you cannot please no matter what you do, we will never deal with Mr. Drey again. Other Vendors beware.

Mini Madness has been modding MINI's since they first came across the pond. Unlike some newer players to the market Madness products deliver the goods . George's customer service was first rate when he set up my suspension in my 05mcs. I can't wait to go back and get more goodies .

MiniMadness has always treated my family and I with the utmost respect, consideration, and professional customer service that we all expect, but seldom see, and I would recommend the company to anyone who wants to increase the performance of their cars, without risking safety and reliability. I am impressed with the courtesy, kindness, the knowledge of products(his and others), and also taking the time to impart me with the knowledge to make an informed decision, prior to spending any money. George is top shelf. I think that other businesses could learn from him, or at least be reminded of the basic care for the individual client that seems to be lacking in our time. George reminded me of what has been lost by many companies. George is building a customer base focused on mutual respect, and by constantly improving on that relationship, he's earned a customer, and friend, for life.

I have purchased a number of items from Mini-Madness over the years. They always have good communications and great products. I would highly recommend them! if you cant find something on their site, give George a call and he can take care of your needs! I got my Madness stage 4 badges on the way, cant wait to get the car back together, get to the track and hurt feelings.

I recently order a product online, the next day I received a call from George to discuss my parts purchase, he inquired as to what kind of buildup I wanted on my Mini and made a few observations. He helped me clarify the direction I wanted to go and saved me some money in the process. Great service I highly recommend Mini Madness

George installed my pulley and new plugs. We made an appointment and he was there on time and worked fast. He knew exactly what he was doing. This was in 2006 and I haven't had a problem with any of his products.

Having read the articles I must come to the defense of my friend George . I happen to be the east coast TEST Bunny for George and RennTech back years ago when my MCS 02 Silver arrived to these shores. We dynod it @ 172 whp with only an intake and ECU mod, now two yrs ago I dynod it(in Puerto Rico) again with alta 15% pulley George gave me and we got a whopping 194 whp WOW!! I cannot say the least about the products which are superb, George even though at times can be an Ahole is very attentive to your needs. I also deal with M7 sorry George you pissed me off one day so I jumped ship. Anyway, I have used MiniMadness products and I have to say six years & 101,000 miles later my baby is running great, George's products have past the test. Needless to say I moved to Puerto Rico where these products have been tested with the atrocious conditions at the time. NOW, my question to George and others the NEW Turbo DIesel is on the way WHAT are you guys going to do?

My mechanic, an authorized Mini-Madness dealer, ordered for me the Madness V2 Exhaust. This is a mechanic I've been going to for years. I was trying to get the exhaust in time to have it in as a replacement for my (falling apart) stock exhaust for an upcoming track event. My mechanic had trouble getting a hold of Mini Madness (apparently they were at a show or event somewhere) but finally got the exhaust ordered. Normally, dealers get a discount reselling parts, and my mechanic was quoted a certain price, and offered his own UPS account to Mini Madness to cover the shipping to make sure the part would arrive in time. He was told not to worry, Mini Madness would ship it on their account. What he wasn't told was that Mini Madness would charge him $235 in 'shipping & handling' fees to ground-ship an exhaust that comes apart into relatively small pieces for reasonable shipping costs. In addition, my mechanic was charged $100 over the quoted cost. My mechanic ate the $235 in bogus charges, and I offered to eat the $100 in lost discount. The difference in quoted price isn't as big a deal (though still discouraging) but loading on $235 in shipping & handling charges (probably $50-100 actual shipping cost, so $135 or more in bogus handling) is pretty despicable. Mini Madness refused to give this amount back to my mechanic or adequately explain what it was for.
On the retail side, Mini Madness may be fine, and the exhaust is great (sounds terrific, fits great, looks great; not sure the magnitude of the power gains but I'm overall very happy with the exhaust). But be wary of extra charges and make sure you get everything in writing. The potential cost savings were why we went with this exhaust over a Borla, and those savings vanished into thin air.

I Called Mini-Madness today, looking for a part number for a specific part that i was looking for (NGK Plugs) However when i called his exact words were and i quote "No, Because then you will go out and buy them your self" Every single MINI Tuner i have ever worked with ALTA, Webb, M7, Has always been over accommodating. Some times its not always about the sale at the moment. I was planning on purchasing over $2000.00 worth of parts from them. I now will NOT EVER be using any of their services.

Placed control arm bushings order on 10/9 heard nothing from company other than order confirmation. On 10/21 I got worried and emailed them. They then finally shipped the product. This is 12 days later, this is unacceptable. They charged me 15 for shipping and handling also.(these bushings cant weigh more than 1 pound) They didn't offer to waive or upgrade the shipping or be the least bit accommodating for this delay.
I would NOT do business with them again, nor would I recommend this company to anyone.

It's really interesting to see the diversity of comments. I have purchased several different upgrades for suspension and engine. Each one has made a significant improvement in the cars performance. In each case I have spoken with 'george on the phone. If I get the messsage machine he always calls back quickly. He has been patient with the myriad questions I always have and makes great recommendations.
Btween Porsches, BMW M3's and the Mini I have worked woith quite a few performance houses. To date this has been one the absolute best.
Thanks George.

I think you all should know the type of person George is before you do business with him. When I first ordered about $1200.00 worth of products from Mini-Madness it all seemed good. One of the products was a Lightened flywheel and clutch kit. Shortly after I placed my order online I recieved a call from George recommending me to change my order to a different clutch kit. He said it was better and would save me some money in the process, I thought great and thanked him for the call, and went with his recommendation. I received the goods and soon started the tuff task of pulling the tranny from my Cooper S. After everything was back together I was really excited to put all the new parts to the test. At first everything was great, but within 40 miles the clutch was slipping,my heart sunk. All that work down the drain. I kept wondering if I had done something wrong. I called Mini-madness,George was not there, but his help assured me George would call me back, and they never had a problem with these clutch kits. I did not get a call back from George. So I ordered a stock clutch from another vendor and mentioned to him my experience with my after market kit. He told me he had a problem with one of those kits and was going to call the manufacturer. Several days later I got a call from the manufacturer of the kit I bought from George, he apologized to me and said they did have problems with their kit in Minis. He told me he would give a full refund to George and and I could get my money back from him. I was so thankful for the other vendor for telling this manufacturer about my problem, and then the manufacturer for calling me and making it right. I was very impressed by these companies. So I called George and at first he was defensive until I told him the manufacturer was going to give a refund. Then he was all happy and said he had a problem a couple times with that kit he sold me. I thought, really, funny how your story changed when you find out someone else was taking responsibility, but he did say he would give me a full refund. It took forever for George to sort this all out with the manufacturer, I was getting mad because George was stonewalling me the whole way. I was in constant contact with the manufacturer the whole time and knew where everything stood on his end. I have E-mails from the manufacturer and George thru this whole process and would gladly show you Georges behavior thru this whole thing. I paid George $699.00 for the clutch kit, he paid $486.00 to the vendor for the kit and had it drop shipped to my door. He had nothing invested in this sale but his reputation as a business man. In the end George said " I don't see why I should lose my profit on this deal" I said "what are your for real". George, after a long time credited my card $486.00 the amount he paid for the clutch kit, he decided he would keep the rest of my money, I am amazed at how unscrupulous this guy is. If all had gone well from the start I would have thought he was a great vendor to do business with, but when customer service was called for he stuck a knife in my back and broke it off. Please learn from my bad experience, let my loss be your gain in knowledge. Jim
