supersize

Description: Dr. Mike got tired of killing brakes at the track, so he engineered the biggest BBK that he could come up with that would still fit under 15" wheels (our preferred size for track work, shod in 225/45 or 225/50R15 R-compound goodness!).

These are quite simply the biggest, baddest brakes that will stuff under a 15" wheel - period. Dr. Mike tested, Dr. Mike approved!

The kit features:
- 11.75" x 1.25" Coleman lightweight rotors
- Custom TSW billet hats
- Custom TSW billet brackets
- Custom Outlaw 2000 Series calipers
- Goodridge SS brake lines
- Aircraft hardware for rotor/hat connection
- Beefy hardware and metal pinch nuts
- Your choice of pads - Porterfield R4-S (street/AX), Porterfield R4 (AX/light track), Raybestos ST-43 (all out track)

All billet pieces, including hats, brackets and calipers hard anodized in a gunmetal finish.

Rotors w/ hats weigh ~12.5 pounds. Not much more than stock, but oh-so-much wider!

NOTE - You MUST already have studs or longer wheel bolts before installing this kit. The hat has a built-in spacer and the OEM wheel bolts are NOT long enough!

Pros: Looks, Bite, heat tolerance, no fade, etc.
Cons: none noted

I have been using this Kit for about a month on the street and used during a DE event this last weekend. This kit held up much better than my Previous BBK. On the old kit, i went thru an entire set of pads in 2 track sessions. This Kit however i experienced NO fade, incredible Bite and it looks good!

I spent Saturday at the track doing a DE with APEX ar MSR in Cresson TX It was a warm (in the 90's) beautiful day... I was runnign with the top down, clockwise on the 1.7. The TSW BDM BBK held up quite nicely! Not a hint of fade, The Porterfield R4 pads were plenty for me at my level. I experienced no excess pad wear... In fact very little noticable pad wear after 6 track sessions. The kit even received a a few compliments up at the Grid

I am very pleased with the new setup.

Note: I am also using the same pads (proterfield R4) and TSW slotted rear stock replacement rotors on the rear and everything felt very balanced

On the street The R4 pads have been fine and cold stopping has not been an issue for me yet. I have noticed not excess rotor wear from the more agressive pads.

Thanks Guys... this kit is very well designed, and a true value.
