Description: This is the M7 CF Ram Hood Scoop, which apparently is no longer in production. The link provided is to the one M7 still sells in fiberglass and retails for about $100 less than when it was made in CF too. I am posting this review, as the function and general appearance of the fiberglass will be the same, as well as I was able to find this scoop in "used" condition from another NAM member, so perhaps there are others potentially available in "used" condition. I also noted that a review does not exist for either the CF or the fiberglass "Ram" style M7 scoops (only the "extreme" style one). My scoop was apparently an early production model and it did have some fitment issues with the underside bolts cracking away from the CF, which led to an inability to keep it in place. However, Shelly at M7 was super in taking it back for repair (she almost begged me to allow them to make it right), even though I was not the original purchaser and it came back recently looking nearly new. M7 gets a big high-5 for that quality of customer service and it bodes well for working out any sort of issues other purchasers of their products may encounter (and I also have their CF air diverter and their strut brace, so I have additional positive experiences to go by too, as well as having returned for a full refund their CF licence plate backer without issue, as I did not find it attractive on my Mini). As to the CF quality of the scoop, you can see from the photos (both before and after I applied the M7 decal to it) that it has some slight surface imperfections, but it is hard to say if the scoop came that way originally or if this happened from prior road wear, given that I did obtain it second-hand. All in all it is something I am glad to have placed on my vehicle and I think the photos show it off well.

Pros: larger air-flow opening, nicely designed look, especially in CF, & great customer support
Cons: attachment bolts needed to be repaired by M7

My initial product description along with the product description of the Palo Uber CF scoop where I drew comparisons pretty much says it all.

Pros: Perfect look, no other scoop comes close...
Cons: Lots of dremeling to make it fit...

I got one of the first CF scoops and mine didn't suffer from the screw posts pulling out. I used some plastic washers/stand offs, that may have helped... zero problems after almost 2 years on the car...

I knew the install was 'custom' and was not surprised by all the dremeling that was needed to make it fit... Some may not like it though...
