Description: Product description is from the Palo Uber Catalog

A new concept design by Palo Uber for 2007. Rid your Mini Cooper of the "RC Car" oem look with the billet Palo Uber antenna. Maintains same reception as the stock antenna but features a low sleek apperance. Makes an incredible visual appearance to your Mini. Each antenna is machined by hand from aircraft grade aluminum. Meticulously hand crafted in England. Each antenna is anodized in Uber winter black or Uber clear which has a transparent coloring that is truely incredible. The silver antenna is protected by this Uber clear formula.

Pros: Short
Cons: Anodizing does not last on black. Replacement painted, not anodized

Antenna was ordered, recieved and installed in January of 2007. By early March 2007 the Black anodization turned a purple red color. I know that eventually all black anodized materials will turn this color but did not expect it to happen that fast. The Mini is garage kept and is not a daily driver. The company was contacted and I was told there was an issue with a run of antenna's. A replacement was promptly sent and no charge. Upon receiving the replacement I noted that it is no longer anodized but it now painted. Drving to AMVIV from Dallas TX the antenna picked up some stone chips. A representitve of the company was asked about the new finish. I was informed by the representitive that the new run was double anodized in the UK and the finish is different. The finish on the replacement has quite a bit of Orange Peel and is poor quality paint job. I do not recommend this product at all at any price.

Pros:
Cons: black becomes purple!

I purchased the annodized black PU Stubby and it turned purple in just a few weeks. E-mailed PU a few times and have had NO response. For $50 I expected much more.

I'll go back to my Alta Stubby.
