Pros: effective intercooler, comes with aggressive functional scoop.
Cons: none

The DFIC is the first vertical mounted intercooler - most effective at air management - hence one of the most if not the most effective IC unit available today for a MCS. Comes with the M7 modified scoop which is a major contributor to it being so effective.

Pros: Works well when used for the proper setup
Cons: Does not work well at elevated RPM levels

The DFIC can be a very good product if it's limitations are understood. For day to day spirited driving this is a worthwhile unit. However, for track use there are better options. I only rated it a 7 as M7 claims it's track tested. For my on track needs with an elevated RPM limit of 8K this IC was not the correct choice.

The basic setup is all one needs for effective charge air cooling. Watch the temptation to add on all the options, the cost goes up in a hurry. My painter was happy with the supplied scoop. The finish was free of pinholes and was easy to prep for paint. Never did receive the parts to add in a sprayer before I sold the unit so be sure all parts are shipped at one time. The optional grill matches the M7 Ultimate Grilles quite well adding aggressiveness to a cute car. Another worthwhile option is the Aerogel pad but I'd steer clear of the heat dissipating coatings.

I would recommend this product as long as the buyer understands it's limits.
