Description: Designed specifically for the new MINI Cooper and Cooper S. These unique belts offer "clip-in/clip-out" convenience with a minimal amount of installation. Most points simply click into the MINI factory seat belt female receptacles. Where an additional attachment point is needed, a small quick release connector is installed to a readily accessible stock seat belt point in less than ten minutes. When not in use, the entire harness is simply unclicked and removed from the car. This is the first and currently the only DOT approved aftermarket harnessbelt of its kind.

No drilling holes or removal of factory belts. This belt “piggybacks” the factory seatbelt bolt points. Another benefit is that the MINI belt utilizes the factory pre-tensioner by clipping into the factory female receptacle. The pre-tensioner tightens the lap belt about 2” during an impact, further preventing the occupant from submarining. Also, since the MINI Belt clips into the female receptacle, the computer recognizes the seat belt is in use and deploys the airbag at a slower, less violent rate. The Rally-4 asm® for MINI features Schroth's patented asm (Anti-Submarining Mechanism) shoulder belt design that during an accident greatly reduces the likelihood of submarining, limits peak loads on the chest and neck, and reduces intense contact with the airbag.

They come in left and right (side specific) in Schroth Red, Blue or Black. Don't forget to set of harness pads for each belt.

These harness' may not be used in any vehicle other than the MINI.

Pros: I am now truely one with my MINI, Easy to swap out
Cons:

Bought the product from
http://www.hmsmotorsport.com/store/s...legal/quickfit
Installation is really easy and simple with lots of pictures. It took me about 30 minutes to install. No drilling cutting or anything required.
Really makes you feel what is going on with your MINI as you pull through a really tight turn and you don't move an inch! I would really recomend getting the Schroth pads for $30 it makes them a lot more comfortable.
Swaping in the stock 3 point belt takes not even 15 seconds, just unclick the Schroth at its 4 points and you're ready to use the stock belt.
I HIGHLY recomend this to anyone as a first step towards modding your MINI, it allows you to appreciate the differences so much more.
