Description:

This book covers pretty much everything about the use of superchargers (Roots, Twin-Screw and Centrifugal), intercoolers and the rest of the required plumbing. The book uses simplified equations, sparing the reader from all the thermodynamics that is needed to do the models from first principles. Yet it captures all the required information so that you'll never have to ask "which is best" because you can work it all out for yourself. I found it on Amazon, but it's available lots of places.

If you want to know about how a supercharged car makes power, this is the book to get. If you want to know about air temps and their effects, this is the book to get. If you want to know how to size a pully or select a belt, this is the book to get. Bigger and better IC? Get the book before you spend the money.
While it doesn't really go down and dirty into the theory, it does give you workable equations so that you can target the boost you need for the HP you want to achive.
As a physicist, some of the blending of temp, heat, pressure and density was a little fast and loose, but the corners were cut without sacrificing any ability to work out the system dynamics. And it did really help with my understanding of the interplay of all the parts that make our cars so much fun.
