If you spend any time at all in your Mini, you know that the door armrests, if you can call them that, are uncomfortable and inadequate. You don’t notice as the driver when you are on a twisty road that requires you to be ‘up on the wheel’, but take a leisurely drive and you just can’t get comfortable. The base of our armrest is vacuum molded ABS that is lightweight but strong. A hand pull is recessed into the armrest to provide easy door closing. A luxurious black leather cover is then added. Sold as a pair and no drilling or modifications are necessary to your Mini to fit.

Pros:
Something to hang on to or rest your arm
Cons:
Squeeks, moves, strap can break free
It was a welcome addition for me and provides the passenger a place to brace themselves too! However I found that the arm rest will shift a bit and so added some double sided tape at the touch points to help anchor it and stop the squeeking. Meanwhile while I had tried to strap it tightly the plastic slot broke free. Probably my fault, but take care when you tighten. If it does happen, try creating a replacement "slot" with a plastic tie-down strap. It works fine - perhaps better.
What would make the product better?
1. Pre-mounted with double sided tape or at least a moulding to prevent shifting around.
2. Longer - to reach the whole distance to the vertical arm.
3. Perhaps just a little narrower to avoid any possibility of interference with the seat sliding forward.
