First, I have not purchased anything from PU for two reasons, the threads I have read and the fact that I find PU website misleading. From the PU website (http://www.paloubermini.com/1136050.html) “All of our Mini Cooper accessories have been designed by Palo Uber encompassing three core elements...
  1. High performance improvements to the Mini Cooper S
  2. Esthetic enhancements improving your comfort
  3. Visual dynamics.”
  4. I am under the impression that Palo Uber doesn’t exist but made up for marketing purposes. Oner is able to find numerous of their products sold under a different label. It is clear that PU is sourcing products and branding them as their own "unique PU design". If the website said “hand selected by PU” I would not have an issue but the claim is “desgined by PU”. They use this unique design element to justify a premium for their products - brilliant however its false advertising.

The DFIC is the first vertical mounted intercooler - most effective at air management - hence one of the most if not the most effective IC unit available today for a MCS. Comes with the M7 modified scoop which is a major contributor to it being so effective.

I just loved what it did for my car - it tied in all of my mods giving me a stronger pull and at the same time smoother accross the board. Giac is a know ecu tuner and provides a 30 day return policy so you cannot lose. Install is done by a local GIAC distributor which can be found on their website - www.giacusa.com

I've had it for a while now (and the OBX header as well) - and no regrets. I found it loud at first but have to say that it has mellowed a bit over time. Highway cruising has never been an issue - not loud and no drone whatsoever. I took this approach from OBX you get the header and exhaust at the price of others just catback system. I find it hard that this combo does not outperform just a catback system. Ideally suited for those on a budget.

Great bang for the buck. I had problems installing 1 manifold bolt which was resolved by shaving a 16th off the diameter of the bolt. Other than that no issues, very happy with what it did for the car. I opted to re-use the stock cat and its been working fine. Those seeking to add performance for this price I highly recommend.

This is the ultimate car enthusiast gadget. Modding your car? monitor your performance gains as you go. Spending time on the track or autocrossing - just like formula 1 cars you can capture 20-30 minutes of run time, upload the data to your PC and analize what was going on in your car. Its just plain COOL but you will learn as you play from this gadget.

Made in England by GT Tuning. Craftmanship is exceptional. HUGE - possibly the largest one available for the MCS. Quick ship and well packed. Instructions short and clear supported by pics. This IC is not for the enthusiast that wants to unbolt the stock IC and bolt up the new IC. It requires some grinding of the engine so that it fits properly and doesn't rub. It requires some plastic removal from the underside of the hood. It requires that the boot brackets be ground. All of which can easily be done with a dremel but it all needs to be done. The IC is unique in two ways - 1) it is designed to float that is to say that it is held in place only by the rubber horn boots. GTT logic is less engine vibration this way. I believe that it will allow more flexibility when matching up the diverter to the hood. 2) End tank design which GTT believes enhances airflow (which might be the case) however this design can also cause the rubber boots to slide breaking the seal. I received a GTT "fix kit" for this problem but it did not work me and had to come up w/ my own solution. If you are the type that likes to make each install his own, this IC is for you.

I thought the product was well made and thought out. Thought was put into the bends leaving good clearance from the springs. Also liked the locking collars that eliminate any horizontal sliding. Sure made a noticeable difference to the cars handling characteristics - felt flatter and more four legged in the turns. I felt the Vendor (mymini) gave good guidance on selecting this 19mm bar as well to selecting the setting to start with based on my driving style (middle setting). Picked it 4-15-04, install took an 1 hour.

As many have said the Rear Sway Bar makes an improved noticeable difference and they are right. The car handling characteristics have changed for the better. Oversteer is gone and feels more planted on the road. I picked up the RDR 19mm bar from Mymini this moring (4-15-05) and had it installed on my 03 MCS. Install took about an hour. Installer comments - he has done a bunch of rear sway bars on Cooper\'s and that this is one of the nicest fitting bars. He also felt that the 19mm was most approriate unless you\'ve modified the entire suspension, gone to wider tires and plan on attending SCCA events. All I can say is that - I\'m happy.
