In order to provide the greatest value to members of North American Motoring and feedback to vendors that will help improve their products, services, and customer service experience the following guidelines must be met when submitting a review.
Purchased product/service
In order to submit a review you must have purchased that product or service. If reviewing a vendor you must have purchased a product from that vendor or interacted with the vendor when considering a purchase. When filling out the fields of the review form please indicate at the beginning of the review the month and year the purchase was made as well as the vendor you purchased from. In the event of a negative vendor review you must indicate the last time that you contacted that vendor in an attempt to resolve the issue.
All Fields Completed
Please complete all fields provided. These include pro and cons, recommendations, price paid, rating, and detailed review.
Detailed Review
When you are writing the review write it so that others will find it useful. Indicate what you like about the product, what you didn't, ease or difficulty of installation, why you chose this product over similar products, etc. One sentence reviews are not acceptable.
Negative Reviews
- Negative reviews are allowed but must be provided in a constructive manner in to enable the manufacturer/vendor to improve his/her products, services, customer interactions. Non-constructive rants will result in the review being rejected.
- As with other reviews you are required to have purchased the product or interacted with the vendor being reviewed.
- If a negative review is based on a customer service or product failure issue you are required to contact that vendor and attempt to resolve the issue(s) prior to posting a review. As all reviews are moderated, reviews indicating these types of issues will first be forwarded to the vendor in question (if that vendor is currently a vendor on North American Motoring) so that the vendor can have the opportunity to address the issue prior to it being posted on the site. If that vendor does not respond within 72 hours the review will be approved.
- North American Motoring will not enter into mediation between a member of the site/customer and a vendor.
Vendor Comments
Vendors will have the ability, as all members do, to be notified via email when a product they are interested in is reviewed. As such there may be a clarification that the vendor wishes to insert to an existing review. If this occurs that vendor will contact the administrators of the site, provide the clarification, and if appropriate the administrators will include that comment, in italics, at the end of the review in question.
Post Guidelines
As with the forums on the Site Guidelines are applicable here as well. Failure to abide by these guidelines will result in the review being rejected and/or access to the site restricted.
Please note that all reviews are moderated and therefore there may be some time between when you submit a review and when it appears on the site.
