The monthly photo contest is designed to give you a reason to get out of
the house and shoot, be creative, show your own personal style, and to
have your work voted on by the members of North American Motoring.
The winner will have their picture displayed on the frontpage of North
American Motoring, until the next contest winner is announced or
administrators see fit.
Please read ALL of the rules:
- One entry per member per month
- The photo must be MINI related, comply with the site guidelines, be
no larger than 800 x 600 in size.
- Must be your original work
- You retain all copyrights to the photo, and will receive credit for your photo if selected.
- For photo submissions to be included in the contest, it must be shot between the date the topic is announced (generally the 2nd of each month) and the contest deadline (the 25th of the same month). Generally we will use the honor system, however EXIF data may be spot checked. Please leave the EXIF data attached. If you don't know what EXIF is, just make sure the date setting on your camera is correct. Do not use "save for web" in photoshop as that will remove the EXIF data.
- Photoshop may be used for photo adjustments, but each submission must retain an appearance that it was captured on camera.
- Deadline is 12 Noon Pacific Time on the 25th of each month.
- All photos must be submitted to the Monthly Photo Contest Gallery.
- All photos in the contest gallery will be deleted at the end of each month.
The photos will be hosted on the NAM server and there will be a thread
posted in the Camera & Video Forum with all photos, and a poll on or about the 26th of the month.
For purposes of voting, each photo will be numbered 1, 2, 3,... for
however many photos are entered. Each user is allowed one vote. The photo
with the most votes by 12 Noon Pacific Time, of the last day of the
month, will have their thumbnail version of their photo placed on the front page of North American Motoring for the coming month. A click-through page will be provided where a larger version of the image will be displayed along with information on the month's assignment, the winning entry, and photographer.
The winning photo from each month will be used in the next upcoming issue of the NAM Alliance Magazine. When used credit and copyright information will be provided along with your photo.
How to enter
Entries must be upload to the Monthly Photo Contest Gallery in the NAM
Gallery. When you upload
your image you must select the following category from the pulldown
menu "Contest->Monthly Photo Contest"
You will not be able to view the contest gallery.
