Spouse says it must go!!!! Sadly for sale as we need to move on with other projects like our new home. This is a right hand drive car with a custom Minitec complete subframe swap, the front nose was extended using stock mini parts. Steering ratio is slightly altered due to the wider track.
Specs: 1.6L VTEC, hondata management system, off JDM spec Honda, bulkhead has NOT been cut or modified, header with free flow exhaust, was dynoed at 182hp at the flywheel and 155 hp at the wheels last winter. The motor has stock vtec cams and low compression pistons though with a modified cam and higher comp pistons a 65hp gain would be achieved. But honestly that kind of power would be insane with a small light car like this. VTEC starts at 5500rpm and tops out at 8000rpm Transmission is JDM b16 with hydraulic clutch.
Brakes and wheels. Minitec’s large 9.5" inch discs up front with four piston alloy calipers. Stock drums with built in spacers in the rear. Image 13x7” aluminum 3 piece racing wheels with Summitomo 175/50-13 tires.
Suspension, Springs up front and cones in the rear and hi-los all around. Gaz gas adjustable shocks on all 4 wheels.
Interior, remote control Alpine DVD player, suede seats from a Mazda Miata with custom brackets and rear matching seat and matching door cards. Custom fiber glass dash, all new door hardware. All new C2 Autometer gauges white face during the day and blue glow at night. am/fm/dvd player with iPod option, Alpine speaker components in dash, Alpine components on rear shelf and 4 JL audio subwoofers in rear side panels. The car has a custom installed A/C system.
Exterior, Purple parking front lights. Car was painted in custom metallic purple with rover silver metallic roof, underside is completely rust free. The car’s bonnet opens just like a stock mini.This is a very very unique car, fully legal for registration transfer to any state including California. Most all conversions being done have people using extended fiber glass noses and 1.8 engines. This car was extended using its stock sheet metal and has the only 1.6L VTEC which makes better sense given the prices of gas now days. The car runs extremely well and will cruise effortlessly at 80 to 90 mph all day. It has an alloy radiator with electric fan and it does not run hot, I have driven it in Southern California at near 100 degree air temp and even after a couple hours it does not get above normal temp. If you live in the area and wish to see the car and drive it please call, I am not open to trades or silly offers. I know full well what this is car is worth in North America and also one of the very few with an extended nose using stock sheet metal. If you are looking for a car that sits like, handles like, rides like and looks like a classic mini but is fast enough to scare the shit of your passengers as well as take most of the boy street racers but tame enough to drive to church with the wife and kids in air conditioned comfort,,,, than this is the car for you.
