Description: update:Intake is sold pending payment

For sale, an M7 DDM Works Cold Air Intake for Mini Cooper S 2002-2006. I researched long and hard before selecting this item. It's powder-coated steel and uses the factory airbox floor and hose.

I used it on my MCS for approximately 3800 miles between February and August of this year. A quick net search found that vendors tend to sell this model for $249.

You'll need to pick up a hose clamp for installation. You can choose factory-style single-use type or the more traditional screw down variety (this is the type originally included with the DDM).

Selling Price: $170 plus shipping. Paypal preferred ( 3% for CC transactions). Alternate payment type is USPS Postal Money Order. Approximate shipping cost $12 parcel post and $28 for priority mail. Insurance available at cost. Delivery to lower 48 states only.

As far as the inherent CAI sound, this one is great. I'd rate it as somewhere between the Dinan (less obvious) and Alta (more prominent). It's a beautiful sound that isn't obvious until you hop on the throttle, then it sings. Unfortunately, my particular MCS has a throttle-body whistle which, once I noticed it, annoyed me.

It seems that any aftermarket CAI will have the same problem on my car, except for the JCW model which has a flap to keep the opening to the cowl closed unless the engine is above a certain RPM range.

The unit is sold as-is, but is guaranteed to be as described in this ad.

Please PM with questions or to inquire about purchase.
