Description:

This is a set of polyurethane rear strut-top bushings for `02-06 R53 MINI Cooper S. These: http://www.mini-madness.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=260
These bushings locate the top of the rear strut relative to the frame. These are resilient, but permit less motion than the foam-rubber stock bushings, and this results in less camber and toe change when cornering. They match the design and size of the stock bushings, and are a drop-in 45 minute installation. The stock bushings are not destroyed, and can be reinstalled.
To you, it means more precise and predictable cornering, but with slightly more road shock transmitted to the body. These are particularly good for any sort of track use, as they make the car more controllable.
These are "as-new", i.e. they were on my car for about 300 miles. As you can see, they aren't even dirty. They proved to be too harsh for my stereo to overcome on our poorly-maintained county roads - sound is more important to me than handling, when I have to choose.
Asking $35, including UPS or USPS from Portland, Oregon to continental US only. First PayPal takes it!

I might be interested...where exactly do they go? I read on top of the shock, but where? On top of the shock body, thus similar to a spring install remove the top hat of the shock? Or somewhere else? Did they provide a very noticeable change in handling for the increase in NVH?
