NEW! Riss Racing Oil Catch Can R56!

Hello everyboy!

As always we are working hard over here on new products! We have finished our R56 Oil Catch Can in both Black / Polished finish. This product is not a group buy item since we have them in stock ready to go! We were able to use the same can as we have been using on our BMW N54 kits for the last 3 years. We will be able to start shipping on Tuesday when we get the brackets back from the coaters. The major advantage to this catch can opposed to the one on the market now. Is you will not need to remove your intake scoop! This is mounted in a perfect position with easy access! The install kit is included with each order at no additional cost!

ORDER NOW IN BLACK FINISH: -http://rissracing.com/alpha/?page_id...&product_id=37

ORDER NOW IN POLISHED FINISH: http://rissracing.com/alpha/?page_id...&product_id=38

Keep your motor running clean and perfect with the Riss Racing Catch Can!
This is an absolute must for ANY R56 MIN Cooper S! Riss Racing's Oil Catch Can takes all the excess oil and moisture in the blow by and diverts it into the canister. Now, you will not have to worry about carbon sludge buildup in your intake, intercooler and turbo hindering the performance of your daily driver or weekend warrior. Comes with the authentic Riss Racing logo and site tube which allows you to see exactly how much oil is being caught inside. INSTALL KIT INCLUDED!
-Anybody can do the test for themselves to see if they really NEED this.
Step 1. Take off the intake, and run your fingers on the inside wall of the tubes leading to the turbos. What do you see? You can do the same for your intercooler down to the actual turbo housing and charge pipe. Cleaner engine means more performance, and preventing future problems!

Thank you all!

Riss team,

Just out of curiosity, did you research whether the PCV tube or the breather tube going to the turbo inlet hose releases more crankcase vapor/condensed oil?

2 Questions:

What kind of baffling is used to condense/retain the oil vapor.

Do you offer a R53 specific application?

hey guys just wondering if i buy your catch can, could i mount it somewhere else or would i have to mount it where it is in the picture? just wondering because i am deciding between the ddm ris and the dos intake and i know that your catch can would not fit in that position...also will it come with extended tubes if it can be mounted anywhere else or is that the best place for mounting?

The kit includes hoses, fittings, and mount for that specific location.

We use the cans on our N54s as well with a different mount. If you can give us an idea of where you want it we may be able to fab something up for you. Or if you already have an idea for the mounting and want to let us know the hose length you will need. We can cut that for you no problem. Just shoot me an email anthony@rissracing.com or call us 714-850-0139.

hey thanks again riss for the reply....but for most people who have the ddm intake, dos intake, or any other intake that won't permit mounting the can on the above picture...does this mean you guys will be producing an intake system yourself which would work perfectly where the can is mounted, beside the alta intake or nm intake? and what happen to the bigger manifold for better flow you guys were working on? if you need a car for testing you got one here!!! lol

What about the pulley side breather hose that sends the vapors(and oil) right into the manifold after the throttle body?

Absolutely...you'll just need some longer hoses to reach to mounting point next to the ECU. Definitely worth the cost if you plan on keeping your MINI. If you have any doubts take a look at some of the pics in my gallery when I pulled my manifold after 20k miles.

The bracket that comes with the oil catch can doesn't fit like it should. I'm not a happy guy right now...

Left messages and sent emails to RR and now I'm waiting.

We seen the same issue. This mod is a must have. Even if you don't purchase an RR can. Make sure you get one on your car regardless. It is a small investment for preventive maintenance.
