My shades were installed width wide since both the shade and the sunroof are rectangles. Didn't make sense to install it any other way. I still have about a 1/2 inch gap all the way around so that the "loose" material that the instructions state to stuff into the sunroof molding just hangs loose and barely reaches the molding sides.
I don't mind the silver on the upper side since I don't see it and it does a better job of keeping heat out by reflecting it vice absorbing it, which black would do.
Thanks for the suggestion anyways.
Well,
I did order mine "all black" as well. Unfortunately, I still did not get it as I live "up North"... In any case, I have been reading all the feed back posts and I can not believe that somebody would false advertise and try to do something like this and even on the users forum where "users" are really crazy about little things like this (me included!).
It is a BIG difference between "all black" and "little logo in the corner". It is not the same! Most of group order members (again, me included) order this product because it was shown on this forum (in the photo) that there is no "white graphics". Than, orders start showing up in the hands of people looking different!... Helloooo?
How about 100% customer satisfaction?
I see there is no posts from "Zeepe" people on this tread since first feed backs started showing up. There must be a "good explanation"...I guess, they are happy? They got our $$...
I will be keeping my shade once (and if) it arrives one day. Black out the logo and be done with it... But I think this seller should face up, and send all group order members from this site another CORRECT PRODUCT that they initially advertised (see photo, please!!!). Otherwise, they can close the shop on this site as far as I am concerned... Since they lied...
I went over the logo with a black Sharpie marker and it is much less visible. Have not put it in the car yet. Maybe it will be invisible behind the factory screen.

I like the product, perhaps that was the delay a New smaller logo...
However, I really think they would sell more of these...
While cool, I didn't like the big billboard...
Not slamming the product, just the way it was presented and advertised.
Q: Has anyone lost a Zippee on the road
I got mine last week, it does have the small logo on one of the bottom corners. I'm not really sure why some are making such a big fuss over the little logo, how often do you look up now that the windows are covered?
Really I get it, they lied/misspoke whatever. I thought it was kinda dumb (business wise) to sell their product without any badging. The current "little logo" is barely noticeable once the product is in place. Some time today I'll take a picture and upload it here so everybody can make up their minds anyway.
With that said, I still don't understand why the shades weren't made to the exact dimensions of the windows. The extra material on the end is nice, but why not just make the shades the exact size as well? Working with that extra material to get them just right is a chore, these should just be easy to setup. The fact that a little light comes through really doesn't bother me so much, but the fact that I was sold a product for a specific make/model vehicle & purpose to not have it fit exactly irritates me a bit. Now maybe it was done for a reason, maybe to allow you to retract the windows without removing the shades, I don't know but I sure would like to hear from Zippee. FYI, they come with 4 suction cups now.

(AKA Loss of suction on the suction cups?)
I drop away the other day with mine in place and the windows in the tilt position. I drove about 5-7 mines down the freeway until I realized that windows were up like that and I didn't loose either shade. Those suction cups are pretty strong. Oh, I was doing about 80ish when i noticed them.
Here are the pictures with the shades on, both with and without a flash so you can get an idea of what the new "all black" shades look like installed. Notice what I said about the corners being a pain to completely cover, you'd have to take your time getting the material to stay when sliding the screen closed. BTW it wasn't very sunny out when I took these pics.

Well obviously that's just rude and inappropriate for a product that serves its purpose well and is offered at a much lower price point than any similar solution (stratmosphere at $59 for instance).
I had the first Zippee Shade with the glaring logo. I hated the logo at first, but I never noticed it once the shades were installed.
I have the new version now, and I actually like the logo. It's small and unobtrusive. Unless you really look for the logo, you or your passengers will never notice it. The placement is much better as well, hardly visible in the corner.
Earlier in the thread, someone lamented that all-black was deceptive not because of the logo, but because of the silver on the other side. Obviously, the silver is reflective. Having black on the side facing the sun would attract heat just as the dark window does.
For winter time, you could reverse the suction cups and have the silver side facing down to attract heat and still block the sun. Same concept as the front windshield shades that are black on one side and silver on the other.
I do wish the shades were just a little larger. If the flappy bit extended around all the edges, there wouldn't be an issue. As it stands, I was able to secure the front shade so no light streams through (loose material pointing towards hood). I have to put the back shade in the same way, loose material towards the hood, but I still have a little bleed through in the corners without the loose material.
they make a product that doesnt fit properly, and they blatently LIED to their customers....they are not a big business, they are a small shop that makes one product for a specific market group....and they just ****ed their interest in that group by LYING to them
get real dude

It was juvenile to say he was a crap vendor. He makes a decent product that fills a void in the market. My car is cooler and I'm not blinded in the summer because I've got a Zippee shade.
I had great support from the guy who makes the Zippee shade. Have you bothered to contact him to resolve your concerns?
However...
I, too, think that this "all-black" debacle turned into some negative PR. "All-black" is descriptive enough that it needs no qualifier. The logo is much better than the previous foot-long eye sore, but it's obvious that many people here were willing to pay a small premium for a logo-free shade, as shown in the product pictures. Maybe the guy is proud of his logo, but why not give customers what they want?
If the logo had been black and on the silver side, observant passers-by could see the logo from outside the car. That seems like a good way to reach MINI owners who didn't know there was a solution to the sun shade annoyance. On the inside, the logo seems to have just annoyed fellow OCD motorists like myself.
