a little upset that the group buy cover price is MORE expensive than the regular covers

especially since you lower the cost by not having to spend money to print on them

just saying, every group buy i have ever participated in are setup because they guarantee the company a mass amount of purchases and therefore you are encouraged to participate by a lower price... not $5 more

MiniEOD, sorry for the confusion. We are only producing this version of our ZippeeShade for a limited time only. Because of this we had produced a small quantity for this order. Unfortunately due to the smaller volume, our pricing was affected as well. As for right now, we have not released these to the public yet. We decided to offer the first 100 pcs. exclusively to all NAM members. We didn't intend to offend any of our loyal supporters, I hope you understand.

you havent offended me, but im just trying to see the justification for me to pay more for this than the other shade..

this is not a group buy at all, but a "limited release"

to be honest, we have been waiting for 2 months now (something that you guys said would take 30 days) and i am pretty disappointed with the results...for the money, ill probably just wind up tinting the sunroofs

i just cant see myself spending more for something that is actually costing your company less (less time, man power, and materials to print a logo, you are effectively removing a step by not putting them on), where you justify it by saying its limited edition FOR the NAM people, sounds like were getting screwed instead

I received my shades last night and unlike the example posted here, the actual product has a 1 1/2 inch by 3 1/4 inch Logo in one corner. I states Zippee Shade and has an outline of a Mini. I was not happy with this deception. I plan to try marking it out with a Sharpy marker.

Who else makes black sunroof shades? I saw another product, but it was silver inside and appeared to be a stiff material like a foldable windshield shade.

Well I just received my shade today... I have no complaints with the fact I had to pay $5 more as the shades are good quality from what I can tell... guess we'll see how they stand up over the upcoming weeks. I will note, however, that I am upset by the fact this isn't an "All Black" item. Granted the logo is quite a bit smaller than the original version, but that is not what I paid for. Certainly not trying to detract anyone else from purchasing the shades, just wanted to voice my opinion.

I received my ZippeeShade on Wednesday; I haven't opened the box yet because Schultze is at the local dealership getting his 50K checkup.

However, if there is a logo, even a SMALL logo on the shades, I will be extremely disappointed.

Upon re-reading the initial post, however, I noticed some ambiguous wording:

"...which eliminates the large logo in the center."

ALL-BLACK...to me at least, means ALL BLACK without ANY other color visible. A small white logo in the corner (as described by "clutchless") is contrary to the definition of ALL-BLACK.

The phrase "eliminates the large logo in the center" is a nice little loophole; it *allows* (for lack of a better term) ZippeeShade to insert what they would consider to be a smaller logo that isn't as "noticeable" as their large standard logo. Popular opinion, if polled, would agree that ALL-BLACK means devoid of any color on the product whatsoever.

Or am I alone in thinking that ALL-BLACK means the absence of ANY color?

I received mine and it only has a small logo (less 4" X 2") in the corner. Non-obtrusive and I'm quite satisfied. Well made product and I definitely need it down here in Florida!

In case those are curious... here is a photo of the new shade. As you can tell, it's certainly not as intrusive as the original and having the logo there isn't a huge concern of mine. Just annoys me cause the advertised product is not what I received.

I've installed my Zippeeshades but I don't have the coverage I was expecting...

For those of you who have received your ZippeeShades, could you please answer this question:

The shades have extra material on three sides; does the side WITHOUT the extra material go towards the bonnet or towards the boot?

I've tried it both ways and I'm wondering if I was sent the wrong size.

I have a 2006 R50 (Justacooper) and the packaging IS marked for 2002-2006.

Yes, I did follow the instructions & ironed the shades first.

I experienced the same thing on my "all black" aka "small logo" shades. I have about a 1/2" gap between the shade and the edge of the sunroof glass. If I close the mesh like they recommend, the mesh border covers the gap but that's not what I thought the product would need. The picture in their ad shows complete coverage. I'm slightly disappointed in the product but won't return it since I can still use it. I just can't recommend it like I would have for other products.

Technically - the Large logo was removed, as stated in the ad
However, the photo (Evidence 2) does not show a "small logo" - Quite misleading. "ALL BLACK" it isn't it's half silver on one side? (Evidience #3).

While the overall product is good (I will test this in the next few hours).
THe ad is deceptive... 2 out of 3...

Try reinstalling it width wide (Longer going from Driver to Passenger)...
I first did that and had to reinstall it the other way...

According to their directions, it's supposed to be this:

For the rear sunroof: the loose fabric should be facing towards the rear hatchback. For the front sunroof: the loose fabric should be facing towards the front windshield.

After fiddling around with the shade for a while, I discovered, at least for my case, the opposite is true. I get a better fit when I have the extra material facing towards the hatch for the front sunroof and towards the windshield for the rear sunroof. With this setup, I am able to get the shade to completely block the full sunroof without any exposed sections.

The one issue I am having right now, though, is the fact when I have my windows down, the extra material on the front sunroof gets pulled away when I'm driving and allows light to pass through. I might retrofit the shade so that I have a couple more suction cups to prevent this.

Another customer none-too-impressed with the product shipped. Is the "All Black Series" better than the disturbingly massive logo emblazoned on the regular version of the shades? Absolutely. But is it all black and logo-free, which is what those of us who prompted ZippeeShade to manufacture this limited run? Absolutely not.

The photo shown for advertising purposes in the group buy shows no logo. That the shipped "All Black Series" product would use a smaller logo printed in the corner should have been disclosed to the NAM community when the group buy was advertised.
