We have confirmation the sets will be done later today or tomorrow. We're only a few miles away from our ceramic coaters so we'll pick up the downpipes and ship them out tomorrow. We'll make sure to confirm it on the forum when they're all out. Thank you!!!
Hello everybody waiting on the coated pipes. All polished has shipped.
I would like to first apologize for the delay. Usually I would not go into details on what has happened with the coating. However I feel it is necessary here. We have been using a new company Mag Masters for a couple months now for our Ceramic Coating. Turns times were quick everything was smooth until now. We were told not last Friday but the Friday before the coating would be done. Well here we are about 14 + days since we dropped the pipes off for coating and they were not done. Needless to say I was beyond irate. I went down today picked up every pipe including our BMW parts, and dropped them off at a very nice high end shop RSS. We paid a lot more to have them done however we put it in a rush to have them finished by Friday. Here is a link to the place doing the coating http://www.roadsportsupply.com/
I would like to apologize to everybody for the delay. This was obviously unexpected and it's just a bad situation. To ensure this will never happen again we have switch companies. Thank you all for your support!
I really hate to sound like a Riss fan-boi (it's hard cause I've been so happy with the products I've received)... but strictly from a business perspective, I really like that you guys are trying to do the right thing for your customers.
The local shop I use tends to behave the same way (and have many loyal customers of much, much more expensive cars than my little Mini to prove for it).
Keep up the good work

I've been waiting for a while, and i've learned patience over the years. I'm also a firm believer that good things are worth waiting for. So i'm just relieved to hear that things are being taken care of. Thanks for keeping us in the loop. I'm kinda excited to hear that we are going to get a better coating!! Thanks Riss, we'll continue waiting patiently.
A few have gotten their DP's but I haven't seen a post yet. M3, you ever get yours installed? I'm interested in seeing if anyone has installed the catted/coated DP yet as that's the one that I've got on order.
I'm with you on the patience part, quality can take a little longer sometimes. Doesn't make it any easier to wait though...

Kris = M3 has his Catted DP installed. I believe it did it himself like his exhaust in his driveway He's showing at SEMA right now.
I'm just curious if anybody has run into any CELs with the catted RR downpipes... anybody? Hopefully RR has one or else people are going to be stuck with getting a huge 3" downpipe from Exhaust Depot, which is a big waste of material for the downpipe

Thanks for being understanding guys we really appreciate it! As stated above this is better coating. This shop does only high end porsche, lambo, etc...They have their coating on site. I was able to see many samples, and the quality was fantastic. We will also be coating some of the R56 exhaust tips here. The best part is they were nice enough to rush the orders, and get us a two day turn time! As always we are here if you have any questions/concerns don't hesitate to ask. Thanks!
