Deflate-gate! Beware of deflating MINI tires!
All joking aside...You may wake up some morning only to find that your MINI tires have deflated a little bit, which throws your tire pressure monitor warning light off. But don't blame the neighbor or the kids (or your housekeeper). Cold weather can make tire pressure do funky things - like make an otherwise minor puncture or leak become a major problem. Whatever the reason, improperly inflated tires are the cause of more accidents and deaths than one would think. It's a simple thing to overlook yet it has a major impact on the safely and handling of your MINI. While it may not win you any games, properly inflating your tires may keep you alive. Keep one of our handy Tire Gauges in your MINI at all times, and be sure to keep your valve stems covered up. A little bit of dirt stuck in the tire valve can cause air to leak.
