WTB: winter wheels

I'm in need of some 16's to put some new winter tires on for my 09' MCS. So long as they're straight and true I dont care which style they are. a few nicks and dings is okay (they ARE going to be winter wheels afterall) Anyone? I really dont want to shill out the 2200 to the dealer for a wheel/tire package and I havent had much luck on craigslist.

I'm in cloverdale but mobile.

Cheers

Hi Rowdy,

You should join up with the Vancouver MINI Cooper Club. They have sponsorship deal going on with National Tire Wholesale in Delta.

I got 15" alloys for less than $100 each and very good snowtires for about $70 each (for 15"' wheels). 16" wheels will cost a bit more but certainly less than $800 or so for brand new alloys and tires mounted, balanced and put on your car.

Also, MINI Yaletown has snowtire and wheel packages for anywhere from $900 and up. I remember Graham clearing out very nice alloy wheel and snowtire packages for about $1100 in the spring.

disclaimer: the numbers might be slightly higher now as I bought my snowtires 3 years ago. But will be getting another set for my other car this winter.

The numbers from yaletown and richmond are now quite a bit higher. The S with sport susp. requires the use of the 16's.. cant go with the steel 15's :(

I've got a line already on some Blizzaks, just need wheels to mount them on and I'm ready for whatever this winter throws at us.
