classic mini mechanic needed on L.I.

I just purchased a classic 2000 mini with sport package (1.3 Liter Fuel Injected motor).

The motor seems to be loose when i am engaging out of 1st or reverse when there is more torque to the motor. It sounded like a thump or clunk against the firewall. I am wondering if one of the motor mounts are loose or damaged.

Does anyone on this board know of a mechanic or a shop that specializes or works on these classic minis? Thank you

Sam

Look at the Mini Owners of New Jersey forum and email Debbie Franks, she'll have some ideas for you.

Good luck!
