I actually live in Westchester, NY, but since I go to Stony Brook, Im out on the Island for weeks at a time. I wud def love to meet other mini owners, esp ones that have been modded so i can get some ideas.
Lemme know when your around and we can meet up. Being its gettin colder out alot of people disappear ( even though this is the best weather to race with the cold air for the IC ) so people will be hiding. Im gonna try to make it to Captree this sunday if i dont forget like i always do so maybe you can swing up there so i can show you some mods and give ya some ideas and maybe even sell ya some stuff

I might be able to swing by but may take my new car which is a 2000 classic mini with sport package and limited production model of silver roof, stripes, mirrors, two toned leather, etc etc etc.
yea these are non adjustable but will save you over 60lbs and it holds you down pretty good. I didnt get used to them at first but they are night and day when it comes to support during hard cornering.

Hey Meg! I'm a grad student at SB too! Also do research...what's your department? I'm in molecular genetics and microbiology. I used to work in the medical department at BNL too. Maybe you can suggest some cool mini things out here to do!
