New York - Long Island Winery Rally is in March!

Thank you all whom attended the 1st New Year 2005 Club meeting.

We all decided, and agreed to schedule the Winery Rally for the 3rd Saturday of MARCH 2005. Meet will be at the Bethpage Library Parking Lot again. I will post the map link and email all details 2+ weeks prior to the date. We also are planning on to make a run to HELIX possibly on the 2nd Saturday of March 2005 for all that are interested to upgrade their MCS with 15%, 17% or 19%(crazy people) Pulleys plus the works! Doug had some grate feed back on his experience so if you need to learn more please just drop him a post at the FORUM. I jus received a new January-2005 issue of the “Go-mini” magazine from UK with an article detailing a complete do-it your self’s pulley upgrade with full image-by-image follow up if anyone is interested to take the plunge with me?

Thank you “MarblesMahoney” AKA Double “M”, from the NewYorkMini.org Club to be at the meeting as our new club member with great contributions of MINI experiences! Welcome Stuart, also our new member in crime of MINI Motoring, and coffee cake sharing!

We all just had great time talking and bragging about our plans and dreams on MINI improvements looking to make this year. I think we should plan on doing some of these together, and make it a learning experience? Who has all the tools, compressor, and the garage? I just spend some green-stamps on new tools needed. Do we have any other volunteers?

I know Peter said that he is going to do some graphic stickers designing on his electric blue MINI by Phil from “Grafik Dezine” shop, and so am I. So I emailed Phil asking him to schedule the next month meeting in February at his shop again, same as we did last year in December. He just confirmed back by email to me that it is on!

Ok, I am looking for some reply posts on who will be going on the Winery Rally, and for some brave souls to play MINI-mechanics together?

YES!
We are Rallying on Saturday March 19th, leaving from Bethpage Long Island at 9am sharp to the Waters Crest Winery.

We have reserved up to 20 MINI cars for this Wine Rally run to attend. To date there are 7 attendees on our list. Please log on to USMiniClub, and reserve your place at the Forum thread:www.usminiclub.com/cpg...forum&f=13 before March 11th closing! We expect to have more cars registered by the next Club meeting of March 6th Sunday 11am at the Bethpage Library Parking Lot. This meeting is scheduled to finalize the directions map, and the route important stops (Bathroom, Food...etc?) on the way .

We will have a trivia contest while on the Winery trip for all, including the kids, to join in. Winner with most answers (correct ones!) will receive one of the MINI radio controlled car toy prize from our shop catalog. So make sure to be there on March 19th 9am sharp , we meet at the Bethpage Library parking lot where we will be leaving from.
