My HUGE roadtrip/vacation

Well, as some of you know, I had a killer road trip. So now since everything is near ready, I am releasing the info.

So, since the day I picked up my lovely MINI. Almost instantly a roadtrip came to mind. Thoughts cruising through my head on "where to go". Eventually, I thought that cruising through the south western States would be a wicked cruise.

So, I told my boss, and he was very unhappy with me (me being the foreman and all) and said "yup two weeks". I had a friend that was moving to Vancouver from Ottawa and she said that she would love to come and split the expenses. Well, that's all fine by me. But I had to drop her off in Vancouver, whatever, doesn't matter to me too much.

Finally the day came and we left. August 13th/Monday @noon. To quickly some up the part I love telling people.

August 13th, we went to Montana, Idaho, Utah, Arizona, Nevada, California, Oregon, Washington and British Columbia, arriving in Calgary August 22nd @8pm. I HAD to get back for the MINI RUN!
Kilometers in total............................................. ..7386KMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!

Oooohhh baby! My less than 4 month old MINI had over 16200kms on her!

Now many people think that I just drove my ass off. NOPE, every single day, we stopped for an attraction and some amazing sights!

Montana - Glacier National Park
Idaho - Craters of the Moon National Monument
Utah - Grand Staircase - Escalante National Monument
Arizona - Grand Canyon National Park
Nevada - Las Vegas (what else?)
California - Calico ghost town, Santa Monica (oh I miss that place), HWY #1 , San Francisco, Redwood Park
Oregon - Oregon Dunes National Rec. Center, HWY #101
Washington - Mount St. Helen's National Volcanic Monument

So with that being said, I took over 1000 photos and 6 movies. It took me a good time to post the photos, and even longer labeling some of them, the labeling is what I am still doing now!

I have no complaints on my trip, it was an amazing experience and so much fun and beautiful things to see and do.

I have put all the photos into State folders. Enjoy.

Scott.

p.s. I forgot to mention, I only saw 4 MINI's until I drove into Santa Monica on Sunday August 19th!! Then once in Santa Monica, I lost count!

Checked out my backyard. Sorry we didn't have clear blue skies for you, but the Canyon with rain is sort of unusual. I always love driving 89 across the Rez (Navajo Reservation), except for getting tickets (never fails).
