How about re-taking the parallel parking portion of drivers ed. Just kidding. Lots of wheel shops will know of places to get curb damage repaired. Depending on the finish of the wheel and the amout of damage sometimes they can be fixed to look pretty darn close to new. If you could fill in your location you will probably get people from your area to chime in.

Do a search in forum labled Tires, brakes. Type in "curb rash". Look down in that thread and you will find a step by step how to.

You said you have webspokes. I did a lot of research on these and the R90's. The rim is a BBS 2 piece. The inner section is painted. The outer is machined aluminum and clear powdercoated.

Now it really depends on your personality. To fix it perfectly and correctly the rim needs to be disassembled, the outer section sent to a place with a CNC machine to re-machine the lip. They will strip the finish and re powdercoat it. Then you can reassemble with correct torque specs. They will want $200+ to do this but you should negotiate it to around $100 if you just send the outer rim. We have a place right here in MI that does it.

A cheaper solution is to have a refinishing place that comes to your house. They will use tools to sand down the curb rash and clear spray it. It will look good but not OEM perfect and not powdercoat. About $100.

There's always the option of lightly sanding it down yourself and clear coating. It's clunky but... it staves off corrosion for a while. Worked on my '84 GTI rims, and held up well. That's on a 23 year old car. For yours... I'd hit up a new wheel, or else have it done.

How bad was the hit?

The local shop will fix it for $100 but it won't be powdercoated clear. It will be sprayed clear. Not that I'm saying that is so bad...just be aware.
