SO-3 vs P-Zero Nero? Any tests?

Sound like an odd match, the SO-3 vs PZero Nero M&S, but looking at the tirerack number, they're very close. The Nero gets an edge on weight and price. Strangely the M&S seems to test better than the "Summer only" version.

The only tests I can see on tirerack for the Pirelli is against other all-season tires. Does anyone have side-by-side comparison on these?

Its hard to compair 2 diffent catagories. I have been in both test, here are my feelings.

Wet grip - S03
Dry grip - S03
Modulation - S03

Road noise - Nero
Comfort - Nero
Snow - Nero

This is very typical for Max performance vs.
Ultra High Performance all season.

Alex

Bear in mind that the typical TireRack data is actually a collection of user surveys, not actual test data. With that in mind, consider that the information provided by the user is based on the user's previous experiences and expectations so finely examining their comparative numbers is meaningless when you cross class lines of both tire and user. A UHP A/S tire buyer may have never driven on a Max Performance tire, and while it may be "the best tire I have ever purchased" that doesn't mean it is the best tire on the market.

TireRack does run tests and do side-by-side comparos but usually these stay within the tire's performance class. Some additional tests would be great comparing say.. the #1 tire in each class so that the buyer's expectations of the tires would be set before they receive them.

I don't know how I came across it. I swear it was on my most recent topics. I wasn't even searching for anything along these lines, just browsing forums. I didn't even think they made S03s anymore so I was admittedly a little confused...
