best all-around all-weather non run flats?

Looking to replace run flats that came with 02 Mini.
My Mini is my everyday ride and I don't want high performance.
I would like a tire that can handle the snow and wet weather.
I will spend money for quaility
Any opinions?
Regards,
Bill

Can you provide more info?
MC or MCS? 16" or 17" runflats?
Where do you live?
How many inches of snow do you get per year?
How did you tires do in the winter of 2003?

In general, a good ultra performance all season non runflat worth a look is
Pirelli P Zero Nero M+S at tirerack for-
205/50-16 $ 97 each 400 tire wear rating
215/45-17 $116 each
Test results
Kumho ASX Test
Extreem Contact Test

Highly rated for wet and dry traction, good for light snow as well.
Ultra High Performance All season ratings

If you live in an area with moderate to heavy snow then read-
Minus size chart
Maybe a tire like 195/55-16 or 205/45-17 would work but tire selection may vary depending on which tire size you want.

I think I have the 16 inch wheels on a Mini Cooper (no S)
Thy are the stock run flats that came with the sport package
It is not the snow so much as the ice.
They did fine when needed.
When it gets bad I take the Subaru so Mini can stay home most the time.
Yet I would like some traction if needed.
I want all around all weather tire. I want non run flats
Let me know.

I'm using the BF Goodrich Traction T/A V (205/50 R16). They are exactly what you described - good all around all-season tires.

Ditto........on the BF Goodrich Traction T/A V rated tires. I've been using them for four months and they have been superb in all conditions. Haven't tried them
in snow or icy conditions yet, but I expect more of the same. Got them through a local tire dealer....... including free rotation every 6,000 miles.

I agree with traction TA V rated. DID has one of the long standing testimonials, one of the 1st few sets I sent out.

I just got some of the Kumho Ecstas for mine and they are rated very highly on the Tire Rack for both wet and snow conditions.
