2013 MINI Cooper Run Flats

Does anyone know what the correct tire pressure for Continental Run Flats is? I see 33psi on the door jam, but also see a much higher figure for 100mph+ (smaller sticker). Then they talk about taking the reading with the tires cold.

I measured them first thing in the morning and they were at 33psi. When I drove to the gas station (less than 2 miles away) they were at 33.5. 😡

Any idea what the happy medium is?

Air expands when it's heated, which is why you see increased tire pressure after driving.

Always take your tire pressure measurements when the tires are cold (i.e. in the morning before a drive).

It sounds like your tires are already at a good pressure for daily driving - unless you are driving 100+ mph around town

The 33 psi cold on the door jam is fine for street use.

As your weather cools in the winter, lower temperatures will lower the air pressure so keep checking them about once a month.

If you don't mind a slightly firmer ride and slightly less rolling resistance you can increase tire pressure to about 36 psi. This can be used for highway commuting for good mpg.

Each model has different tire pressure recommendations.

Inflate to your door jam for street use.

Edit- oops, duplicate reply.

you can increase tire pressure to about 36 psi.
Do keep an eye on the tire wear, as this will promote the tires wearing more rapidly in the center of the tread.
