This is my first 'new' car, and I've suddenly gotten into the whole detailing scene. Washing the car by hand, have the 3 step cleaning and wax system. However, I was wondering what's a good tire shine?

3 step system? Sounds familiar, are you using Mother's products? Im a momma's boy for sure. I use Stoner's More Shine, Less Time or Meguiar's tire gel. They do alright, but they are all I have used. You might wanna try them to see what they do for you. Good luck taking care of your new MINI!

I use Zaino's Perfect Tire Gloss. Great stuff, matched only by their awesome car polish.

I heard that it's great on the vinyl trim that we have on the outside of our car, but I haven't heard of anyone using it on tires.

The Zaino Tire Gloss I use is great. It isn't a gel, but a runny liquid, so it goes on a sponge easily. Two coats (let dry inbetween) and it'll last about a month, or two car washes, whichever is first

Tire dressings dry out your tires, thats why constant reaplication is required.
I have yet to find one that doesn't

I've used Zaino on the exterior for the last 4 years but have not tried the Perfect Tire Gloss oddly. But the Meguiar's Gold Class Endurance (purple gel) works well as some other people have noted .

I use it, currently, on my tires and I do not recommend it. It dulls your tires after a few days (turns a sickly brown/yellow) and there's not enough gloss to make it worthwhile. I would like something with high gloss on my tires to make it really stand out. I don't know what all the hype is about 303, but It's not bad on the interior. Get a specific tire shine product.
