Help for a non-car guy

I want to buy a second set of wheels for my 2008 Just a Cooper so I can mount my snow tires. I had my 175/65R-15 MICHELIN X-ICE XI2 tires put on my stock wheels during the winter and just got them off with the original all-seasons put back on. I'd like to be able to have the snows put on a second set so I can swap them myself, but I am having a very tough time determining what size wheels I would need for those Michelins. Tire Rack says one thing and the Konig website says a totally different thing. Obviously I need 15 inch wheels but what would be the width, offset and whatever else I need to look for?

The OEM wheel size is 15" x 5.5" with an offset of 45. You likely will not find any aftermarket wheels with this conservative size and offset. You may find 15" x 6.5" or 15" x 7" with more aggressive offsets that will probably not be suitable for your 175/65R15 snow tires.
Check out the NAM marketplace to purchase a second set of OEM MINI wheels in 15" x 5.5", such as the R100 or R101 styles, see http://www.mini2.com/forum/faq.php?f...q_faq_bolt_etc.

Gluhwein, if you don't find anything in the NAM Marketplace (definitely the right place to start), try ebay. I was on there last week looking at what they had for 17" rims (didn't find much) and noticed there were some 15" rims at half decent prices.
