I usually went to Costco to get a new tire, but this time it's MINI and I'd like to get rims too with new tires.
There are few posts about Team dynamics rims + new tires for R56 S. But I am confused what I have to do with them.
Many people here recommended the Tire rack, but I think they don't offer Team dynamics rims + tires so I am not sure what to do If I want to get them for my 2008 MINI S.
Where should I go to get them? If I go to the American tire then they would order for me? or do I have to get them first by my self?
Could anyone tell me about how to get them and install them?
Thanks in advance.

You might want to go with Outmotoring since they have more variety for sizes and offsets. I went with 17x7 +45 offset and am very happy.
For the Tires I did a little research on what i wanted first, called around local tire places in the area and got the best deal and they installed the tires on the rims for me. I also bought new TPMS for the TDs. Alot easier then unmounting the oem tires to get them. Cost you more but saved for a headaches.

I don't think you'll find the tires you're looking for at Costco. You might as well just order from Tire Rack. I purchased my Yokohama Sdrive from an ebay vendor...I think discounttiredirect but tires only. I live in Burbank. I tried the Burbank Costco. They have a very limited selection on hand but they can special order a set for you...kinda pricey if I remember right.
A dumb question I am sure but I have a 2006 S convertible with 45k miles and I have had to replace the front tires at least 4 times. Now I don't drive conservatively, but I have kept the GoodYear Eagle RSA run flats that originally came with the car from the dealer and I got to believe there is something better out there. Any advice in terms of performance and wear? Also, do we have to keep a run-flat on the car to protect the rims? That is what the dealer is telling me....
I can't speak for the Goodyear's from experience but I got over 20,000 miles on both my 2003 MCS (195/55/16)
and my 2006 MCS (205/45/17) OEM Dunlop run flats.
I kept track of the air pressure, rotated them every 6 months and checked the alignment every other year and I think it made a difference.
And no, you do not need runflats to protect the rim.
1. If I get the TD rims and tires, should I check to perform an alignment?
2. Since this is my first time to get an aftermarket rims and tires (I am going to order TPMS too), do I need to install the TPMS by my self before stop by a local tire shop or do they install the TPMS?
3. I would stop by the discount tire shop or any recommend tire shop?
Thanks in advance.

Does the +45 gives a good flush look without causing the tires to rub against the fender? Also, does that wheel offset looks the same for 1st and 2nd gen? I'm shopping for wheels for an '06 MCS.

+45 fits well and you'll have no problem with rubbing. Yes, the first and second-generation MINI use the same offset wheels.

You do not need to re-align the car if you switch wheels. That doesn't change the alignment.

Let your tire shop do it. You can swap over the hardware from your existing wheels, or if you want to be able to switch wheels (like summer/winter), you can get an extra set of sensors for your new wheels.

Choose your tire shop carefully! A discount shop may or may not be able to handle your wheels without damaging them. A careless installer can scrape the paint right off your pretty new wheels. Ask around for a quality shop that knows how to handle high-end wheels.
