non runflat tires

Ok I know there has been alot of discussion about non run flats. I am considering replacing my run flat tires with non run flat. This is due to replacement of three run flats due to excessive tread wear with proper inflation and average driving habits. Any suggestions on a good nonrun flat tire for 2006 mini cooper s. In addition, any recommendations on a good overall tire center selling tires for minis in SOCAL, Ventura county.

If you're in Ventura, you could probably go for summer only tires. I like Michelin PE2s.

You may want to check out the tire forum for gobs of opinions on what to replace the RF tires with. Whatever tire you choose will be a huge improvement over the OEM runflats.

You cannot go to Costco. They will refuse to replace RFs with non-RF's. (At least the ones down here in south OC.) I've always like America's Tire Center if you want a B&M store. Otherwise TireRack consistently gets good reviews.

I have Michelin Pilot Sport A/S PLUS and really like them. Bought them from www.tirerack.com and had dealer install them before I took delivery. Check out owner survey at Tire Rack.

These have a 45k prorated treadlife warranty, great turn in, good wet and dry grip and a smooth quiet ride. This is a relatively new tire with 3 different tread compounds across the face of the tire. Tire Rack has a network of installers (including NTB etc.) that will install their tires.
