HUGE Props to Alex@Tire Rack!

Sending out a huge props and thanks to Alex! Couple of months ago I bought some TPMSs through him for a wheel/tire setup to slap on my 2010 when it arrived. After learning they were not compatible with 2010 (ugh), I had to swap them out with my OEM that came with my 2010.

Even though they had been mounted...and time had elapsed since purchase, Alex authorized the return of the sensors for a full refund! I never asked, assuming it was on me. I did write him an email though to be on the look out that prior sensors were not compatible with newly arriving 2010s.

A huge thanks is extended to Alex and Tire Rack! You have secured a customer for life!

Pat

Alex has forgotten more about tires and wheels than I will ever know. We are very fortunate to have him on the site.

Great customer service!

What changed in 2010? I was under the impression that TPMS were fairly generic - one kind fits all. It would be nice if the 2010 were more sensitive/accurate than earlier versions.

Yea, don't buy sensors for a 2009! I bought sensors for 2009 from Alex, then put them in a Rota RB/Kuhmo set up to slap on my 2010 when it got here. Turned out they didn't work with the 2010s. Here's my story:

http://www.northamericanmotoring.com...different.html

Right away when in contact with Alex, he began looking to get a stock of sensors for 2010s. After several emails between us, I think he was on the road to success. If you call and talk to him, make sure you ask if they got the newest sensors for the 2010s (starting in build mo/yr 09/09). And please, if you have a 2010, don't buy the 2009 sensors. They literally do not talk to the car and the TPMS circuitry will disable itself.
