Combining runflats and non-ruflats

I have heard that combing rf and non-rfs is a bad idea. Why is that? I was thinking of putting non-runflats at the back and runflats in the front.

Can someone pleaste tell me why it is bad?
I dont do bends at high speeds, but do travel at high speeds on highways.

Reason i wana do this is that my 2 front tyres must be replaced and dont have the cash now.

I actually tried this briefly. It's cool if you're in a parade or standing still. The feeling on curves invokes old nursery rhyme (aren't you lucky)-"Diddle diddle dumpling, my son John/ Went to bed with his stockings on/ One shoe off and one shoe on...' That's what it can feel like if pushed at all, like trying to sprint, bob and weave with sport shoe on one foot and sock or nothing on the other. I recommend going all NON-runflat and buying a Slime spare kit with inflator. Trust me, You'll like the difference.

It can change the handling characteristics of the car and cause it to handle poorly and unpredictably. If you have an accident, it may cost you a lot more. Do not compromise on tires as this is the only thing that holds you to the road, those 4 small contact patches. I echo what has been said already and would advise against mixing RFT and non.

If you really need to change them, try buying the RFT Tires "used" on NAM or other forums.

Same reason you don't ware two different shoes. The suspension is set up to work front to rear in unison. When you start introducing a dynamic the maker did not intend you open potential problems with driving.

Mixing sidewall ridgidity can make for unpredcitable handling. The fellas above are correct, not adviseable
