Before I paint my Challenge wheels....

As many of you know, I picked up my '09 JCW. It came with Challenge wheels.

I love the look of the wheels but hate the fact that they are 20+ lbs.

So, before I decide to keep them and paint them gloss black, what do you think of these wheels from Tirerack?
These wheels weigh in under 15 lbs.

These weigh just a hair over 14 lbs.

I've been spending more and more time at the track and though I love the looks of the Challenge wheels, 5-6 lbs per wheel will probably make a HUGE difference.

Thoughts?

Thanks,

Mark

OZ, you will appreciate the loss of weight which results in quicker acceleration. Not that the 09 JCW cannot handle 20lb wheels.

Are these the OZ Alleggretta ultra lights? Pricey but nice.

Are you keeping or selling your Challenge wheels? First bid, if so.

Thanks guys, I really do like the look of the challenge wheels, I just think the car will appreciate the lightness of the other wheels.

And yes, I will be selling the Challenge wheels (wheels only, no sensors or tires... If I find a better tire, I'll sell them asap)

At this moment, the wheels have 26 miles on them for the record. I'm going to put them in the classifieds. The last set sold for 1200 plus shipping so I'll do the same.

Mark

EDIT: I meant this OZ wheels anyways.

And I bought them, excellent packing, shape and beautiful wheels for my 07 MCSa.

Using as summer wheels and the odd track lapping, lunch laps.

I have 16s for full lapping days.

My R98 Webbies with tires are for sale (vlm), see the 5280 area.

Don
