Hey Mach,

I'm still interested in the Rota SVN. I'm kind of curious about the bronze color now. Do you have any pics of this wheel on a MINI?

I saw some bronze wheels on a PW R56, and I kind of like the look. The wheels are kind of similar. Check it out:

I wonder what wheels those are...

Sorry, I don't. None of the customers we've sold them to have been local.

Looks like those are 18" wheels, but I don't recognize the style.

Do you think you can post up some pics once you get some? I'd love to see how they look. Even if it was taken with a iPhone.

Edit: Found some hyper black ones on good images. Not sure whose it is...

Edit: After a bit more googling, I found the original thread on NAM for these pics: http://www.northamericanmotoring.com...-da-miniz.html

Do you believe the SVN will fit 235-40-17 Bridgestone RE-01R tires?

I think the offset is +45, can you confirm?

That depends how much fatter the RE-01R is compared to normal tires. If it's not fatter than a normal 235, yes, it'll fit.

That's the offset we stock.

What would you consider a normal tire to compare it to?

Most street tires are about the same width, but some R-compound tires (Hoosier comes to mind) are fatter than a street tire of the same nominal width.

I love the look of the Rota Silver RBs. They seem very lightweight.
I have an '05 R53...
45mm offset... forgive my naivete... is there anything that needs to be done to the MINI hub to compensate for this 45mm offset or do we just slap the wheels on and go?
Thanks!

Offset is the position of the wheel in space relative to the hub surface. Lower offset = closer to the outside of the car, farther from the middle of the car. Higher offset = closer to the car.

But the short answer is no, you don't need to do anything special. Just bolt them on.

Thanks, Dan, good to know... do MINI OEM wheels have an offset and is there a "most common" offset value -- like 45mm?

Last Q: Do you guys ship with tires mounted and balanced on the wheels? What would you recommend , size wize for the 16x7 Rota RB, NON run flat? I don't track my MINI but I drive spiritedly - i.e., love the country cordered roads.

It varies, but most OEM wheels are slightly higher offset, because they're usually narrower.

We can, but it's usually less expensive to just get your tires and have them mounted locally. Shipping mounted wheels get expensive.

215/50R16 is good.

Could I have some troubles for fitting one RB 15x7 ET35 in a 05 Mini Cooper?

I´ve been reading some users of this wheel model with troubles in a 2002 Cooper...

That wheel will NOT fit over the front brakes without a spacer.

Hey Dan,

What wheel would you put on a 2006 MCS Royal Grey/Silver roof (built before 5/06)? I currently have stock set up 17" S-Lites R85 Silver and Pirelli Euphoria 205/45R17. I am thinking about 16" or 17" wheels. My Driving is spirited but mainly just for fun. Might(?) do track some day? I really like those Rota's in General. But looking for some insight.

I'd probably do 17" Rota RB's. Silver or gunmetal -- either one would look great.

No, 16" fit with no problems (except they don't fit on the 2009+ JCW brakes). It's the 15" that need spacers.

Sorry, they only come in +40. But that additional 8mm doesn't cause any issues with handling or clearance, so I wouldn't be concerned about it.

Metallic Centre Cap for Breyton Race GTS-R

Greetings all, newbe here...

Need some help finding a self-adhesive black MINI center cap to fit over a set of Breyton Race GTS-R caps.

Installed a set of 18x7 ET40 Kumho Ecsta SPT 215/35-18s and really want an OE looking cap. The inside diameter of the cap is somewhere between 50-51 mm, I will verify tomorrow with a precision vernier.

Awesome forum, keep 'em small...

Here's a few pics less center caps.

Offset and color for Pepper White

I have a PW/PW 2009 CooperS with factory 16x6.5 wheels. I have two questions.

If I put 16x7 40mm offset wheels on, will the outer wheel lip be 9/16" further toward the outside of the car than the factory wheels? (1/4" more wheel width and 5/16" for the difference in 40 and 48 offset).

What color wheels do you think looks best (or worst) on a PW/PW? Polished, plain silver, steel grey, or gunmetal.

Thanks!!!

Hey Dan,

Looking at those Rota RB (RGM)16X7 with 40mm offset at $144 in Gunmetal w/polished lip. And I have a few questions.

1. What's shipping to 49441 per wheel?
2. Are they 4X100, 12mm lug holes, w/56.1 hub?
3. Are they available and shipping estimate in days to the Midwest?
4. What's the weight on these? 16.25 lbs (answered my own question)
5. Any pictures of this color of wheel on a MINI?

Thanks. I know, enough questions, right?
