looking for black 17s or 18s, with no lip, post pics!

i had a thread a while back but its like 6 pages long, and all differnt kinds of rims were posted. i think im going to get rid of my s-lites, some guy locally may want to trade me his white 18" rims for them, but ill see about that later.

anyways, post pics of your 17" and 18" rims, and please in the post, list what size tire it is, and what offset, width of the wheel, and if you're lowered, or rubbing any or anything.

anyone running all black Konig Hotswap's?

i really like the ultraleggers or whatever they're called, where online can i buy those?

Probably because the wheel thread is a cesspool of broken links and the same post quoted hundreds of times by people who just want to say " " and don't have the decency to delete the picture from the quote. I swear some of the pages in there are the same picture 20 times due to quotes.

NAM needs some sort of gallery that members can upload photos of wheels, that can be sorted/filtered by wheel brand, style, mini color, wheel color, etc. I think Mini2 has something like that, no?

Notice that it says it's $90 a piece...it's cheap but not surprisingly so. Look like pretty junky wheels though. Who has ever heard of "sacchi" wheels?

ya thats why i saw they're 90 a piece,

this guy locally wants to trade me for some white 18's on his mini, im gonna go see what kind they are today, i would need to get them Powder coated which im trying to avoid. plus his are universal, id rather get actual 4 lug wheels, so theres not 4 empty holes lol

Why cause these are the white ones you're talking about?

To be honest....i think white could look pretty awesome on an all black car. Everyone and their mom runs black on black on black. It's getting to be as popular as running OZ or TDR wheels on NAM. I think white 18's could actually look kinda cool on a car with your 5% tint and stuff. (Depends on the design of the wheel of course)

Fair enough....just thought I'd propose a different idea.

What's your price range...and what kind of style do you want (spokes vs. mesh vs. monoblock)?

i like the style posted above in like the 2nd post, i know for sure that i want NO lip, i like 5 spoke and mesh, what is monoblock?

if i get them CHEAP, i wont mind paying a shop to have the powder coated matte black.

thats another thing- i want matte black, not a real gloss like my s-lites are now

MINI2 does have an Aftermarket Wheel Gallery.

I bought some fairly inexpensive 18" Motegi Racing RT5 in matte black.

Simple wheel, car is lowered...no rubbing.

couple more pics of it here:

IIRC, about $170 each. I'd have to look at the total bill because I bought a package deal at the time.

18x7.5 - Offset is 45mm - 215/35/18 tire

I just read they were discontinued, so they may be a little hard to find. I bet there are some larger wheel houses that still have some sets.

u think i can get away with a 215/40 tire? im not lowered yet.

the silver center cap thing, u think i can have that painted to match black? did they scratch at all when you got the tires put on?

these are forged aluminum $3.50 ea

I have these - but you can't run locks and you have to convert to studs.

Those lugs i posted are ultra light - the set of 4 lock will weigh more than the set of 16 black lug nuts - thats why I dont recomend them, 1 lock will kill the feeling of a good balance.

McGard SplineDrive. Summit Racing has them, with and without locks. You will need a stud conversion (Pilo Racing has a 'race' stud - don't go cheap, the cheap ones from Gorilla don't have strong threads...I ruined them in one wheel swap).
