NM Sway bar super Creaky! help!

Specs:

NM lowering springs
NM 22mm Rear Sway bar with NM rubber bushings and factory mounts set on full stiff setting (first hole)

So... after installing my new NM springs and sway bar, i have a super loud creaking coming from the rear of the car. I went back to my shop yesterday, took everything back apart in the rear, used all of the grease that came with the sway bars and the creaking seems worse now.

The creaks is most prevalent on accel\decel, not when going over bumps or speed bumps.

I have been super happy with the ride of the springs and the handling improvement but the sways are really bugging me. Has anyone else had this problem? Did you use a different grease or wrap with teflon? i have aftermarket sway bars on 2 bmws (e30 and mroady) and have never had any noise from them.

thanks for the assist everyone, i did a search first and didn't see any threads on this. I sent an email to Jerry as NM also.

Tony

yep, a little squeze thing of white colored grease. used all of it evenly between the 2 rubber mounts and the swaybar.

made no difference...

did you also grease between the rubber bushing and the factory mount?

I didn't have the problem on my R56. On my F56 I also bought the NM billet RSB brackets with the grease fittings to make it easier to service. Zero squeaks so far.

did you use the upgraded end links as well? i wonder if the factory ones are part of the issue.

i am not looking to spend another $150 for the fancy RSB's if i dont have to.

that's right, i forget how setup your car is!

well i am not planning on going that far. if i cant get the creaking to go away, ill move back to the stock rear sway bar.

I have an appointment to have the car aligned tomorrow. i will have the shop take a look and move the endlinks to the softer spot.

Im going to give Jerry at NM a call tomorrow also.

Call Jerry. He is terrible with emails and you will literally never receive a response (at least with my experience). He is also awesome over the phone and can usually propose a solution immediately.

yep that was my experience as well. nothing against Jerry!

so. i think i know what is going on and im a dumb ***

while the car was being aligned today, we were under the car looking at the sway bar abd realized i have it installed upside down. it is hitting the underside of the car.

sooo, thanks everyone for the help, i am going to correct this tonight...

it honestly was not obvious from the instructions which way the bar goes, however i should have looked more closely once i bolted the sub-frame back up.

at least i am 90% sure how to fix this now.

Yeah one time I replaced the seat in my car and couldn't figure out why I couldn't see the steering wheel or the windshield.

They did. The bar has NM graphics on it. Install it so you can read it while standing under the car.
