Springs
So I have a question when it comes to shocks. I am a little new when it comes to spring rate and such, so hopefully someone could enlighten me a little.
I do not want to slam my car but maybe lower it a bit, just make it a little stiffer around corners....
I have an opportunity to purchase some JCW Red front springs (part#: 3133678727) at a really good price, but i want to get the corresponding rear springs that would match it, I see that there are two part numbers for them (part#: 33536782731 and 33536782731) so which one should I get??
of course I could get JCW GP2 springs seeing there are only one number each for the front and rear....but again I am not sure the differences between these and the JCW Red...I am sure it all goes to spring rate.....
Then there is the H&R springs......UGH!!
HELP!!.....

33536782731 and 3356782731 are the same number.
There's -731, -732, and -733.
Length is different and each one is meant for a MINI spec'd to a certain weight
range depending on its options, so that ride height remains about the same for
MINIs with different curb weights.
Call the vendor and give your VIN and they can look up which one is supposed to
go with yours.

Didn't the GP2 come with coil overs? If so, then the springs sold as OEM GP2 would not fit on the stock shocks.
There are many choices with springs. One thing to keep in mind is that lowering the ride height will cause the stock shocks to bottom more, which can make the ride very harsh if the roads around you are not smooth.
The best options to maintain a decent ride with stock shocks are those that lower the least, and the JCW is likely the best option. The different part numbers listed above are to compensate for differences in the car, such as with/without sunroof.
NM springs are also a good option, they will drop a little more than JCW but less than the H&R's.
Good luck,
Mike

Those are only for the GP2 cars w/ factory coilovers, or anyone with GP2 Coilover kit.
Here is some info on how the Red JCW springs work with the suspension kit 33500429708 . PM with your VIN, so I can get you the correct springs.

The R57 springs are weight more for the rear as the R57 is heaver in the rear. Might raise the back end up to high on the r56. I would just get the r56 ones, thats allot of chance for your looks to change.
50452 are R56

Hello.

Is for tr R56 Cooper ( NON S ). The R57-R59 springs are weighted differently than the R56 ones. You could do it but since the R57-R59 springs are weighted different in the rear for the heavier weight the R56 50450 might sit lower in the rear. Do you have an S or justa Cooper?

" 2012 r58 coupe to lower it 1.4 ?? Would the 50450 fit ?? "
Thought you were asking about the 50450 for the R58?
Again they will fit but the back end is heavy on the R58/ R59. So when you put a lighter spring on back it may not be a 1.4" drop on the back. Might be a little more. Just wanted to give you all the info I would know.
Thanks
