KW V3's Installed Today

Looks good. How do the they compare to your previous setup? I have the nm/billies as well and was thinking of going to the kw's.

KW V3's Installed Today

They handle completely different. So much better. It is a different ride when you have springs paired with shocks. Night and day compared to the NM/Bilsteins but then again the price difference is huge also.

Photo from when I had them corner balanced and aligned.

the KWs ride so much better than the lowering springs and Bilsteins. Main reason is due to shock travel. Getting the rebound in the rear set is softer than normal due to the valving they use, but I've installed a few sets now and got them working well now.
We are now using more KW V2s as most don't need the extra adjustment of the V3s and they are a little more cost effective.

Does lowering your countryman not mess up your auto leveling system on the HID headlights?

Often you need to readjust the headlights, but the sensors are still in place to make them still adj on their.

Is it currently set on 1" drop? I would love to get one set for my CM JCW.

I'm so glad to see this thread pop up! I had the kw v3s installed a couple months ago and it was really hard to find anyone else running them. I've been playing around with the settings and I'm trying to find a good combination of ride and no bounce. The total drop is 2 1/2 inches in front and 2 in rear. That's as much as they can do with my 18 inch wheels . I started out with the settings rebound and compression both where they came set which I think was 5. I now have the rebound all the way down to one click above full hard. Drove like that for a bit. Then i turned the compression all the way down to one above hard for a bit. Then I brought the compression up one soft on just the rear yesterday. Feels pretty good. There's definitely some bounce but it's kind of worth it. And I'm loving it! I wish the rear rebound could be adjusted without taking the whole thing off. What settings are you guys using?

Very nice choice! How's the ride comfort/feel compared to stock? Especially when it comes to bumpy roads and small pot holes?

They absorb high speed bumps/holes pretty well but you definitely feel it. At slow speed you really feel the bounce. But when you hit a corner hard it just hunkers down and flies low. It is the most amazing feeling!
Body roll is non-existent now. but I also have it on basically the stiffest setting possible. One click above full hard. I didn't get them on in time to test at autox before the season was over so now I just have to wait......all...winter
I was on NM springs with stock shocks before.

Very nice! That's alright, at least you'll get some ideas of what settings feel good and then you can really dial it in once you get out on the autox course. Be sure to report back on how they do! I'm looking into the V3's possibly or the Clubsports ($$$).
