I'm going with the H-sport 19mm [stiffest setting] coupled with the IE fixed camber plates on my straight Clubman.

I have the big Hotchkis 25mm hollow on the medium setting, but I’m going to bring it down to softest for next track day. It’s been great for autocross but first time at the track there was one tricky high speed corner over a crest that got the car really light, and the rear wanted to step out, so I was really cautious through it.

Was running lower rear tire pressure to help, and need to remember it’s fwd so it can pull itself out of those situations, but I still think going softer should feel less oversteery dangerous (I’m in a first gen R53 btw, but this thread seemed most relevant).

Can anyone confirm the last outside hole (farthest from the main bar) is softest setting, right? I’m trying to visualize it, and that would certainly allow the bar to flex more (axially), but would also give it more leverage being in the farther position…

Follow up to my question about the bar settings...

the hotchkis instructions state "the ‘soft’ position is the hole towards the bar end"

Pelican instructions (http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarti...eplacement.htm) state “the first hole (towards the front of the car) is the stiffest setting”

I’m thinking Pelican is wrong here?

They both sound correct. Kind of strange wording, but "bar end" meaning the edge of the sway bar, not "bar end" as in the part crossing the car. The hole towards the bar end should be the first hole towards the back of the car. Hotchkis should have included a picture/diagram on the instructions to clear things up.

The first hole towards the front of the car is right next to the "bar" and would be the stiffest. Hopefully that makes some sense.

Yes this, and you're right Pelican is also correct (I was thinking the bar faced the other direction).

I ended up finding other pics from whiteline that confirmed this.

I landed on here while researching RSB. Hotchkis has a 20% sale going on for Haloween sale.

Going to pick that up on a Will Call basis as they're local to me.

No, BUT I've been reading on here that the stock end links MAY cause clunking noise as it may not be up to the now stiffer job.

Even with it on the middle setting I just about spun last week in a high speed slalom section with the rear tires at 38psi. Dropped the rears to 34 and flew on through it. We are leaving it in the middle. Overall it works great.

This is with 235/40/17 Dunlop Star Specs, Koni FSDs and Eibach springs
Are the Eibachs better than using the JCW springs? Did the lower springs affect your FSD? I just installed the KONI FSD and am looking at sways and springs
