Replacing driver's side outer tie rod because I'm an idiot and I broke it on accident. We won't go into that I feel dumb enough as it is.

Problem I'm having is the thread that connects it to the inner tie rod must be seized or something. I can't seem to unscrew the outer from the inner at all. Eventually the inner just rotates as well. I've tried EVERYTHING except cutting the sucker off for fear of damaging the good inner tie rod.

Thoughts, suggestions, anything?!

You have to get the right tool and if the rod has been damaged by a tool two pipe wrench work, and some heat. The inner rod does not lock when undone , its spins when the outer section is loose. Its a 12mm wrench or close to that, see the hex section on the inner bar rod. Then to get the inner off the rack itself it takes a huge wrench or a crescent wrench.

New one goes on and I measure the old length ( before taken off ) of the tie rod and get it as close as you can to the new. Then off to get the alignment done when all installed.
