Looking for coilovers. Need something ride height adjustable and preferably ones that can use the OEM spring top cap. Feedback on what you have on your car will help me decide. Thanks!

I used racelands coilovers for multiple years on my wrx as a DD. only had 1 issue with the tophat bolt due to my fault over tightening. I called them up and within 2 days i had a new tophat.

most people hate on them in the subaru community since everyone there are elitist jerks but they rode fine and i wasnt tracking the car so for under 5 bones, why not?

I have STs on my car and they ride very nice while just cruising and get tight as I toss the car around in corners or through any type of spirited driving.

I just installed a set of Bilstein PSS10. They are both ride height and rebound adjustable. Nice thing is that the dial for rebound adjustment is easily reached and can be done in seconds. Also you do reuse the spring top hat portions front and rear.

I don't believe the PSS10 will work on a Gen1 but the PSS9 do and they are similar.

PSS9s are definitely in my radar. Have them on my 96 Porsche 993 and they have been great. So is your car not an R53? Mine is and I'm looking for user testimonials on a few different brands.

We have the PSS10 for the gen 1 here and they are pretty.

We have the Gen 1 ST X and the ST XTA = XTA if you want the front camber plates.

Thanks

Some of your decision is going to be based on how much money do you plan to spend? You can get out for $750 or so or spend over $3000...

Answering my own question again from personal experience:
Modding the ST coil overs with linear springs up front and ditching the progressive rate springs that they come with in favor of a set of their more softer springs is the trick but you would be better served by something that has linear springs in another higher end kit from a cost perspective.

ST XTA also have the font camber plates now, which is a plus.
