Nick,

First off Welcome... You are about to get a BUNCH of opinions about coilovers, so be ready... I have Megans on my sons R53. They are great for lowering the car and it has a smooth ride. They are adjustable and will stiffen up nicely. Would I track them... Every now and then they would be fine but if you want to chase cones or run the track a lot I would invest in a better set. Their are several manufacturers out there and I'm sure others will extol their virtues. Just look at what you want to do with the car, how you want to drive it and how much you want to spend. If you're looking to lower it and have a decent ride I think they are fantastic. His car handles as well as mine with H&R's and rides "softer" when adjusted. Control arms are really all the same. You install them lock them down and forget they are back there. Any set will really work. Some might be lighter than others of your looking to save ounces but they all do the same job.

I actually agree with everything said here. I have Megans on mine and couldn't be happier. The adjustability gave me a proper drop with a nicely dampened ride and further adjustability with regards to camber and such. Remember, get some good sway bar end links and rear control arms if you plan on lowering it further than one inch

Plus one on what they said. Mine have been on for bout 90,000 miles. No regrets. Sure there are better ones out there but they cost more..

Nothing that couldn't have been found out with a simple search of the forums... Good luck.

Ultimately, ask yourself what you plan on doing with the car. The budget needed around where I am from to track your car enough to make a more expensive setup worth it, well, is a lot! The other setup I looked at was from KW and it had Vorshlag camber plates. All in all, was going to run me near $2000 for the whole thing. Now the Megans were less than half that and I don't plan on throwing my mini on the track. Could they take it? Yes. You should be very smooth and controlled on the track and if my stock Abarth suspension can take it, my much burlier Megan suspension should handle it, no worries
