How are KWV1 Coilovers so Cheap at Mini-Madness?

How is it that Mini-Madness can sell KWV1 coilovers for $1195 and everyone else sells them for around $1399-$1499?

This seems to good to be true. Comments? Insights?

I believe the TSW K1's are tailored for the MINI more with regard to damper settings and spring rates--call Jeff at TSW, he'd be able to tell you what the differences are, if any.

From what I know, the TSW version has the same spring rates as the "off the shelf" version, but the valving is different. I don't know what the improvement would result to be, softer? stiffer? balanced??

Might want to check with people that have first hand experience for the TSW V1s? and the regular V1s. The price is atleast $300 different, $1150 vs $1450.

They're selling them for ~$100 over cost. I wouldn't complain at all.. that's a small profit margin after overhead is factored.

What can go wrong with this 5 mm spacers, why is this bad? I'm curious about, don't know much about suspensions. Excuse my ignorance, but my mechanic just order some KW V1's coil overs for my 2008 MCS R56 with jcw r95 18" et52 star spoke wheels.

I know about that issue, you need to install spacers for almost any type of wheel/tire you put on. It all depends on your wheel offset and tire width preferences.

So my mcs 08 w/wheels R95 ET 52 + 215/40R18 KDW 2 and KW V1 coilovers instaled you should use spacers, my question is what is the risk, or what will get damaged with time if you use spacers? Some said they got into a problem that granted the spacers, why a problem?

There are no problems with using spacers as long as you get the longer wheels bolts to go with the spacers. I sell spacers all day long for my Porsche clients. Porsche even offers factory spacers. At least with Porsche, they have the wheels tucked in enough to clear tire chains for the northern guys. That way you can add the spacers if you are not running chains.
What width are you 18" wheels, because a 52et is pretty tucked. Most of the factory 17" wheels are a 48et and you can then use a 15mm spacer without any rubbing with stock size tires. That makes those wheels go from a 48et to a 33et and your wheels are tucked almost 5mm the other direction.

H&R spacers should fit the bill nicely.

After instalation of KWV1's, front suspension sounds like an old car at small bumps at low speed, in sharp turnings and moving the steering wheel a squeaky sound is easyly heard, is this common with coil overs, may it be touching any surface or are they bad. Need help.... Thanks
