Do 215/45/16 tires fit on the R56 Star wheels?

Does anyone know if you can comfortably fit 215/45/16 tires on the R56 star wheels? Are they too tall/wide to fit without rubbing or throwing the ABS sensors off?

A few tire calcualtors are saying the 215/45/16 is just over 3% smaller overall diameter which is not reccomended but I've seen crazier sizes done. Just don't want to piss off the onboard computers and trigger fault codes from the wheel sensors.

i bet it could fit... but it could loook REALLY weird... i run 215/40-17s on my 17x7s.... if i remember right the Star wheels are 16x6.5... 215 would be pushing it... why not stick with 195/50-16?? i think they're too wide... just because 215/40 is pushing it on MY wheels and they're 7 in wide... on 6.5 i'd say 205 max... even that could look weird....

Yes, My slicks are that size on those wheels. They look small though. Wheel gap was huge even with the car lowered.

Was hoping to run a slightly smaller diameter for better gearing and wider for more grip for autocross. I read a few people ran this size just fine on the 16X6.5. We ordered a set.

actually the pic in my sig is running those size tires. the pic is a bit dark but on the outside of the car the wheel gap isn't bad at all. on the other side that you can't see the gap is a bit different.
