No. Waaaay too tall. You want 235/40r17, 215/45r17, or 215/40r17.

I've seen 245/35's on 18x8's fit on a somewhat lowered MINI. Got the pics from this site.

A 245/45 is ginormous.........agree, way way too tall. Go with the 235/40 that looks awesome. if you are set on a 45 sidewall tire you could as wide as a 225, but that would still be much taller that stock, and may rub the outside of the tire a little in the back with a 40 offset and no camber adjustment.

You need to stay around 24.3 - 24.5 inch diameter. Other wise your speedometer will be off by a lot.

205/45/17 stock for the car are 24.3 diameter or very close to that.

235/40/17 will be about 24.5 - 24.7

245/25/17 will be about 25.7 over an inch larger diameter from stock

Now just to let you know from brand new to fully used a 205/45/17 will change by approximately 3/8" this equates to a variance in the speedometer of 1.4% so by going to a 245/45/17 you are going to vary the speedometer by a minimum of 5%.

Yeah, with an ET40, I would expect it to rub a little right in the center on the outside of the tire, especially if you hit a bump. I think this size with ET45, does not rub at all.

That is a great tire size, really looks good!
