How long should tires last?

Hey guys. I know this is driver dependent, but I want to know how long the OEM Continentials should be lasting. I was told if you get 15k+ miles out of the runflats, you're doing well. I'm curious because I was told it was time to get new ones and I just bought the car 2 months ago.

Did you look at the wear bars to see how far down you are to them?
Were they inflated correct? Were they autocrossed or tracked at all?

I think I got 16K out of my runflats. I was also putting Jerome through all the twisties and was a rocket getting on and off the freeway. I did rotate them twice during that time.

Since it was time to replace the RFs, I went to a non-RF performance tire and I usually get about 12K or about a years worth of driving out of them. No track events

I got about 16k out of my runflats but they were really worn by 16k. I switched to non-runflats.

AutoXed a bunch actually, a full season so about 50-60 runs maybe, about a 16th left before the wear bar, and always inflated to 39-40psi.

I've went about 17K on my Ventus RS-2, which is about what they should last. My ASX Kumho tire I have done about 20K on them, and I have been happy with both. As long as you rotate tires religiously, check pressure, and avoid things in the road (boards, bags, etc...) then you should see wear that behooves the tire. Tires are a case by case thing and some will last longer than others.

If your like me, and by some magic you attract nails and they ALWAYS stick out the side wall causing you to have to buy new tires, then about every 4k.

FML.

I did not like the run flats, actually have 2 in my garage with about 50% on them that I am giving away, actually no one even wants them HA, I have put 30 K on my car in 16 Months, and gone through 4 sets of tires, After 8 to 10 K of driving most Max Performance tires get hard, loud and dont perform well in the rain so I just get rid of them.

I got 18K out of the front OEM run flats, and that included (6) twenty minute roebling roads raceway track sessions and one AutoX session. I got 50K out of the back runflats. Mini Recommends not rotating tires. I'm a believer. Now I buy 2 non runflats, then 4 the next time. etc..
